La Petite Maison is a cozy holiday home and part of our old authentic Farm Le Montet. Le Montet takes its name from the hill and landscape on which it was built in the late 1700s.
As a former farmer's house, the house has been completely renovated while retaining old elements such as the beams and part of the old sink which is now used as a book niche.
La Petite maison is a nice house with all amenities, suitable for families or as a couple.
The house has a large enclosed garden and offers sun, shade and lots of privacy through the various corners.
You can use a garden set, hammock and 2 sun loungers. There are indoor and outdoor toys for the little ones.
In winter, spring and autumn you can use the electric heaters and the wood stove. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven (a pizza also fits in it), for the coffee drinker there is a choice of a coffee maker, Senseo or a Dolce Gusto. (depending on your preference)
There is a TV, via satellite, with all Dutch-language channels and other foreign channels.
Next to the kitchen there is access to the utility room, here is the magnatron, cleaning supplies, boiler, electricity cupboard, coat rack and access to the toilet.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a 2nd toilet and a box bed on the landing.
The large bedroom has a double bed 160x200 and a single bed. A camping bed with a good mattress can be added for a baby/toddler. The small bedroom has 2 single beds in an L-shape. It is possible to place the beds next to each other if desired. On the landing there is a cozy box bed, which is suitable for children up to 150/160 tall.
Bathroom with shower, sink, 2nd toilet and cupboard for your bath linen and toiletries.
The garden is fenced, spacious with both sun and shade spots. There is a garden set, picnic table, 2 sun loungers and hammock. There is a clothes dryer for laundry. Free laundry can be done twice a week.
For barbecue enthusiasts, there is a stone barbecue and loose BBQ available.
On the farm:
In the summer months there is a trampoline, badminton / volleyball net, climbing and clambering rack with slide, seesaw for the little ones and seats to relax on the large playing field. The general swimming pool is wonderful for some water fun on hot days. The pool is 1 meter 20 deep. For safety reasons, we prefer young children to be supervised by a parent/adult. The pool is fenced. (legal safety regulations).
There is also table tennis, football, an indoor play area for the youngest and a games cupboard.
Washing machine use:
In the months of June to mid-September, as a guest of the holiday home, you can use the washing machine including detergent for free 2 times a week.
Extra laundry costs €5 per wash.
Wifi: as a guest of the Gite you will receive a code to log in.
We offer this via our 4G subscription, this is not unlimited, we share it with each other.
For days out, there are folders with information about the area and an agenda with fun activities in the area , such as flea markets, party markets, music festivals.
There are beautiful walking routes from 3 to 16 km in the nearby area, a climbing and clambering forest, several swimming / recreational lakes and for those who like fishing there is plenty of fishing water and a temporary fishing permit can be purchased at the local bar, there are many castles, aquarium in Limoges, a visit to the former village of Ouradour sur Glane will certainly leave an impressive impression. During the low and winter season you may stay completely alone on the farm. If you are with children, please note that there are no trampolines during this period, but the climbing and clambering equipment and slide are there. Our outdoor pool is closed, but you can go to the large indoor pool for an afternoon of swimming in Limoges.
During this period you cannot use the washing machine, because the main building is closed due to frost.
If you need a washing machine, we refer you to the SuperU, an outdoor launderette for the public next to the gas station. (4 kilos of laundry for 4 euros)
