Via Route du Soleil you drive inland just before Montpellier (exit 28), this beautiful area consists largely of hills with forests and many vineyards. After half an hour's drive you will arrive in the middle of beautiful nature at the Parc le Duc holiday park in Vacquières (Languedoc-Roussillon/Herault), where our holiday chalet is located in a large garden of almost 500 m 2 with its own private parking space. There are charging stations for electric cars in the park.
You can start the day with deliciously fresh crossiants and other delicacies, because every morning a baker drives his van across the park with croissants, (bag) bread and pastries.
Various supermarkets are a 15-minute drive away and within half an hour you are at the sun-drenched beach of the Mediterranean or in a large city such as Montpellier , also called the Paris of the south with its beautiful shops. Or Nîmes with its old Roman amphitheater is definitely worth a visit. Every weekend there is also a vide grenier (flea market) somewhere to browse around.
The layout of our chalet , suitable for 4 adults and a baby/small toddler, is:
- spacious living-dining room with a 4-6 person dining area, 3-person sofa, satellite TV and ample cupboard space;
- fully equipped open kitchen in terms of crockery and cutlery including gas hob, combi microwave, dishwasher , fridge / freezer, kettle, Philips Senseo, percolator and toaster, hand blender,
- two bedrooms, 1 room with a double bed (140x200) and 1 room with two single beds (80x200). These rooms are separated from each other, on either side of the chalet and both have a ceiling fan. There are also electric blankets and radiators for the days of the year when it is a bit cooler. The windows are fitted with mosquito nets;
- bathroom with shower, washbasin with mirror and design radiator;
- separate toilet;
- washing machine
- air conditioning (for both cooling and heating);
- free Wi-Fi .
- non-smoking (it is of course possible to smoke on the covered veranda..)
Outside you will find a wonderfully large (partially) covered veranda of 30 m 2 with a garden table with 6 chairs, a large gas BBQ and the washing machine . There are also three sunbeds in the garden. Due to the size of the garden you always have enough sun and shade spots throughout the day.
