The house is located in a small hamlet, on a quiet road. It has a lovely large garden partly fenced, safe for dogs and children. At the back you have a nice view of the fields and hills. Next to the garden starts one of the beautiful walks in the area. This leads to the Gartempe River.
On the ground floor is the spacious living room. There is a large dining table with 6 chairs. Bookcases full of books and games. On the other side a nice sitting area with wood stove and TV.
Through the hall you enter the cozy kitchen with extensive appliances on the left. Fridge-freezer, dishwasher, four-burner induction plate with electric oven, combi microwave, two-burner electric hob, kettle, Nespresso cup machine, Senseo coffee machine, filter coffee machine, milk frother, air fryer, food processor, sandwich maker, toaster, and much more. Kitchen island with 3 bar stools, table with 2 chairs under the window. Large pantry and china cabinet.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the downstairs bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
Through the hallway you enter the utility room with washing machine and storage cupboard. And patio doors to the covered terrace with a lovely lounge set.
The stairs lead to a spacious landing with a table football game, desk with a printer and the wifi router. There is also a dresser, filled with various games and puzzles. On the 1st floor there are 3 bedrooms and another bathroom.
Bedroom 1, located at the back of the house, has 2 single beds of 0.90 by 2.00, 2 bedside tables, chest of drawers and desk.
Bedroom 2, located at the front right, has a double bed of 1.60 by 2.00. 2 bedside tables and a chest of drawers.
Bedroom 3, located at the front left, is the largest bedroom with a box spring of 1.80 by 2.00. 2 bedside tables, large wardrobe, cupboard, nice big armchair. There is also a door to the bathroom.
Bathroom with bath, toilet, sink and bathroom cabinet. There is both a door to the landing and to the main bedroom.
There is central heating and there are electric heaters. There is a fan in each bedroom.
At the back of the house is a covered terrace with lounge set. Surrounded by a wooden fence for safety. In the garden there is a large dining table with 6 lovely chairs under a canvas pergola.
There are several chairs and sun loungers in the garden. And an extra parasol. There is also a barbecue. For children there is a sandbox and a small inflatable pool. There are: a badminton set, jeu de boule balls, and various other games. The garden is partially fenced. Children and dogs can play safely here. Behind the fence is a large garden to enjoy bivouacking.
There is a large barn. On the left side of the barn is a room where you can park your bicycles. And there is also a gas barbecue and sun loungers. In the front garden there is space to park 1 car.
On request, we will provide you with a high chair and a cot.
The village of Bussière-Poitevine is 2 km away. Here you will find a bakery, butcher, small supermarket, pharmacy, café, post office, doctor, hairdresser, bank, etc.
Within walking distance of the house, a 5-minute walk, there is a restaurant on a lake. Here you can eat pizzas and other dishes.
The large supermarkets and other shops are located in Bellac 20 minutes away.
In the immediate vicinity there are several beautiful walks, one of which starts right next to our house. This walk leads you along the river La Gartempe. So bring your walking shoes. A little further on, a 14-minute drive, there is a nice beach with playground equipment and a restaurant. Really a lovely place! We also recommend the Saut de la Brame walk. A truly beautiful setting. Just like a fairy tale.
