Feel at home in the comfortable living room where it is cool in summer and it is nice and warm on cooler days with the sturdy wood stove. A spacious sitting area with smart TV, a long table where you can enjoy a delicious meal and an open kitchen with all modern appliances behind a bar of authentic green tiles. A pool table from a French café, dartboard and children's corner with toys. In total there are 4 spacious bedrooms with 4 beds of 1.60 x 2m (they can be separated) and 1 bed of 0.80 x 2m. A spacious en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath, cabin with massage shower, sink and toilet. A second bathroom, with large walk-in shower, sink and a separate toilet are located behind the kitchen. Through the patio doors you enter the terrace with stunning views at the rear and the private swimming pool with lounge area and sunbeds. At the front of the gîte is a large garden table, bbq and the children can play in the playground. There is fiber optic internet in the gîte. Wifi also on the terrace.
In the Limousin, the green heart of France a stone's throw from the Dordogne, Coussac-Bonneval is located on the "Route Richard Cœur de Lion" that takes you past beautiful villages and castles through a lovely rolling landscape. We can tell you all about the region and point out the most beautiful places and activities. In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy walking, cycling, swimming and horseback riding in nature. The gîte is 3 minutes from the cozy village of Coussac-Bonneval with bakers, butcher, restaurants, fishing lake and an impressive castle. The town of Saint-Yrieix la Perche is 10 minutes away for supermarkets and indoor swimming pool but also the weekly market and shops in the picturesque medieval center. 15 minutes away is one of the most beautiful villages in France, Ségur le Château, with festive events and a night market by the river. The cities of Limoges, Brive and Périgueux are a 30 - 45 minute drive from Coussac-Bonneval and are well worth a visit. The waterfalls "Cascades de Murel", the large lake "Lac de Vassivière" and canoeing in the town of Uzerche are also highly recommended.
