Châtel is a charming village and has a compact center. The square with the main church are the focus. There is also Office du Tourism, ski schools, many craft shops and eateries.
Since July 2014 has been in the village opened a beautiful pool with gym where you will, against payment, can use all year round.
There is in January 2015 at the Lac de Verdict taken commissioning a new elevator that gives access to the Super Chatel and Linga.
In the winter season are daily buses (navettes) free to and fro. The stop is at the apartment and takes you to the village square. From there you get free transportation to the other slopes.
The shops are open from 07:30 to 12:30 and from 15:30 to 19:00. They are also open on Sundays.
There is a large supermarket (Inter Mache) just outside the village on the road from Chatel to Abondance.
The apartment is comfortable and cozy. It has a south-facing balcony with stunning views over the valley.
It is suitable for 2 to 5 people and offers:

sofa bed, consisting of two beds,
hanging / wardrobe,
TV, Radio Cassette Recorder with CD player,
kitchen with dishwasher, four hotplates, oven and coffee maker,
dining table with four chairs and two stools,
balcony, table and two chairs.
Six single duvets and 6 pillows.
Fitted sheets (single and a double for the bedroom -) duvet covers, towels and tea towels.
There is a private parking space: C15.
The apartment has an elevator.
Next to the building there is a bakery, laundry kiosk and an Intersport shop.
Opposite the apartment is a ski lift. The lift connects with Torgon Chapelle d'Abondance, Morgins and Chatel.
The bus stop is in front of the apartment.
We, and Edward Hendrick, live in Zeeland and enjoy many years of our apartment in Chatel. There is a possibility to rent a larger apartment in the same building.

Het is een klein, maar fijn appartement. Alles is aanwezig! De ligging bij de skilift is perfect. Het is wel ongeveer anderhalve kilometer naar het centrum van het dorp, maar er rijden gratis bussen af en aan. Wij hebben hier een fijne skiweek gehad! Het contact met de familie v.d. Heijden was bovendien prettig.
het is een gezellig knus appartement. Ligging is prima, je stapt aan de overkant in de skilift, mits er voldoende sneeuw ligt. Bushalte is 25 meter verderop. bus rijdt om de 10 minuten naar het dorp en naar de skilift linga.Stokbrood en croissantjes haal je bij de wasserette naast het appartement.daar is ook de skiverhuur. Kortom een leuk, knus, schoon en compleet appartement in een mooi skigebied. Het was een supervakantie!
