Charming and very comfortable detached chalet on 1500 meters of private land for up to 6 people in one of the most beautiful places in the French Alps with beautiful views of Mont Blanc and surrounding mountains.

The chalet has been designed and built in authentic style and has modern furniture, upholstery and lighting. The bedrooms have comfortable beds, good bedding and spacious wardrobes. The 2 bathrooms are sufficient for 6 people. The kitchen has a coffee cup machine and a new milk frother. All kitchen necessities are available and there is plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware.
In the basement is a Miele washing machine and Miele dryer. In the garage (which cannot be used for the car) there is plenty of space for coats, hiking boots, skis and ski boots.
In the barn there are stylish sun loungers and there is a hammock. The 3 mountain bikes can be used for a small fee.

The chalet has a large south-facing garden, on the edge of the forest and is located in a very quiet area near the village of Les Praz. Chamonix city center is a 20-minute walk away.

Chamonix has been the mecca for skiers and mountaineers for over 100 years. The ski bus leaves regularly from the end of our street and takes you to the bus station at the Flegere lift but from there there are also buses to the other ski areas such as the Brevent and the Grand Montet near Argentiere and of course to the lift station in front of the Aiguille du Midi to go skiing on the glacier.

In summer, Chamonix has a lot to offer for cyclists, climbers and of course hikers (for example the famous Tour du Mont Blanc. There are tennis courts and a 50-metre outdoor swimming pool (overlooking the Mt Blanc) within a 10-minute walk of the house.

Off season and outside the high seasons when it is quiet in Chamonix and the surrounding area it is also wonderful to stay.

Geneva and Annecy are relatively close and through the Mt Blanc tunnel (10 min drive from the chalet) you are in 30 minutes in Courmayeur in Italy. Turin is about 3 hours away, Basel is about 4 hours away.

We are Patricia and Pieter, proud owners of this family chalet. The chalet was built in the 80's by our father, and like our parents, we love the mountains, especially in Chamonix. We are often there ourselves, both in summer and winter. Our passions for (touring) skiing, hiking, mountain biking, climbing and French cuisine all come together in Chamonix.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Landlord will charge the following amounts, depending on the date of written cancellation by the tenant:

In case of cancellation up to 90 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: free of charge
In case of cancellation from 90 days (inclusive) to 42 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 42 days (inclusive) to 28 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 28 days (inclusive) to 14 days (exclusive) before the start of the rental period: 75% of the rental price
In case of cancellation from 14 days (inclusive) before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the day of the start of the rental period or during the rental period that he will no longer make use of the rented property, he will continue to owe the full rent.
