Chalet L'Aiglon

The chalet "L'Aiglon" is located about 1 km outside Abondance on a beautiful mountain meadow in the Melon district and has a beautiful view over the Dranse Valley.The 13-person chalet built in 2008 is fully equipped and guarantees a wonderful stay in the French Alps (Haute Savoie). Almost everything is available in the chalet to make it a success for families with children. A real family chalet. But also for those who love luxury and comfort are well catered for in this wonderful chalet with sauna, and luxurious steam cabin.

The luxury 7-room chalet has a fully insulated sous / sol with underfloor heating. There is a hall here; 1 bedroom with a double bed (1.60 x 2.00 m). 1 bedroom with a bunk bed and 1 pers. bed.

There is also a large bathroom with double sinks and wellness parts as a "shower arc fitness shower" with side jets, a 5 person sauna and a whirlpool. There is also a separate toilet. A washing machine and dryer are available in the hall. In the storage room is also the ski storage room with room for 15 pairs of skis and a ski shoe dryer also for 15 pairs of shoes.

On the first floor is a spacious living room with cozy fireplace (wood included). The large open kitchen has a 5-burner ceramic hob, a large fridge with separate freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and a Senseo. At the 3 m long dining table, 13 people can sit down.

From the living room you have a beautiful view over the valley and through the French doors you can reach the large covered balcony (approx. 45 m2). In the living room there is also a plasma TV, DVD / Video recorder and sound system available. Both Dutch channels via the dish and French channels via a decoder. Films, books and games are available. Further on this floor is a separate toilet and a storage closet (this is in private use for the owner).

On the second floor are:
1 bedroom with 3 box springs (80 x 2.00 m),
2 bedrooms with balcon at the front
with 2 box springs each (90 x 2.00 m).
And a smaller room with a single bed.

There is also a bathroom with double sinks, separate
shower, toilet and a luxurious 2-person steam cabin
(eg radio, color therapy and rain and massage showers etc.)

WINTER
Abondance together with 12 other mountain villages forms the Portes du Soleil area:

La Chapelle D'Abondance, Châtel, Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Montriond and Saint Jean D 'Aulps on the French side and Torgon, Morgins, Champoussin, Champery and Les Crosets on the Swiss side.

With the "Portes du Soleil" lift pass you can explore the entire ski area.

For beginners and those who want to take it easy, there are also ski passes for sale, which do not cover the big area, but with which you can ski a local area.

SUMMER:
Also in the summer it is certainly worthwhile to spend the holiday in Abondance. The nice place with its various restaurants and terraces is a great base to undertake all kinds of activities, such as

The sporty types can choose from mountain biking, horse riding, via ferrata, mountain hiking or climbing. There are beautiful routes that are well marked with different difficulty levels. At some viewpoints you have a magnificent view of the Mont Blanc.

A number of lifts are also in use in summer for mountain bikers who can then whiz down different courses.

Lake Geneva, 30 km away, offers a variety of water sport facilities. There are also beautiful beaches for sunbathing and swimming.
For golf lovers there is the beautiful golf course in Evian-les-Bains.

Additional information

The ski resort of Abondance is located in the beautiful French department of Haute-Savoie, 4 km from Chatel and 30 km from Lake Geneva. The site is south of Lake Geneva at the Dranse and offers a lot of snowmobile in winter. From the village, both in a small area for beginners and in the large Les Portes du Soleil can be trained for advanced. After skiing, cross country skiing or mountain walks you can also visit a museum or taste the delicious Abondance cheese, so there's plenty to do in addition to skiing.
