THE ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN
In the vicinity there is a lot of entertainment for children, such as tree climbing, medieval city (Carcasonne), water skiing, rafting, the pyrenees.
In addition to these attractions, there are very nice museums for children and adults in and around the house.
In the museum of aviation, children can visit the planes and visit them from the inside. There is the legendary Concorde that can be visited from the inside. In addition, there is the largest airbus ever, the A350. A tour of the Airbus factories can be booked. Book a tour in English online.
In the museum of space travel (Cité de l'espace) you can learn about the history of space travel. There are real missiles.
The museum of machines (Halle de la Machine) there are gigantic monsters that can move. One of the monsters is regularly activated in the museum and the children can enjoy it. THE ENVIRONMENT FOR ADULTS
The above attractions and museums are also interesting for adults. In addition to the museums for children, there are numerous other museums in Toulouse that are definitely worth a visit.
THE CASTLE PARK
The castle park, on which the house is located, contains 180 houses that are mainly permanently inhabited by French and Dutch. Because of this permanent residence, there are activities throughout the year in which everyone can participate.
In the early and late season, the petanque evening (jeu de boules) is held on Tuesday evenings in which young and old, French, English, Belgians and Dutch participate. After the game, an "après boule" is held by the residents. The guests (tenants) are warmly welcome here.
About 40 houses are rented out all year round. If you rent, you, the residents, can use all the facilities of the park.
During your stay, the reception is at your disposal with English-speaking staff who are always happy to help you. The reception also takes care of your linen and end-of-stay cleaning.
For hikers, cyclists, golfers and dyeing shoppers, it is an Eldorado.
The villa is located in a beautiful quiet region close to the very French but also very international city of Toulouse (45 minutes by car). 40 minutes from Toulouse's major international airport (Blagnac), easily accessible by car.
CULINARY EXPERIENCE
The city of Toulouse is home to a large number of fantastic restaurants. At least 5 restaurants with a star and 4 with a bib gourmand. See the Guide Michelin in which you can also find a few other good restaurants.
In the vicinity (10 minutes) Chateau de Barbet there are also 3 fantastic resturants where you can eat delicious food at reasonable prices. In Samatan "Table d'Olivier" and "Au Canard Gourmand", both easily accessible by bike (15 minutes). Also nearby is the restaurant "La maison Despuess in Puylausic.
For children there are excellent restaurants and pizzerias in Lombez and Samatan. In Lombez there is a restaurant opposite the church that has a good menu and where the service is top notch.
If you go to Toulouse, "Place George" is a square with several restaurants for a lunch with menus with which your children can certainly make a good choice. Our favorite restaurant on this square is "Walace". Delicious crocq mesters with French fries.
