On the outskirts of Collias, a bustling village on the Gardon with canoe rental, bakery, grocery store and several restaurants, our holiday home is located on a large plot (700 m2) between village and countryside. It is a practically furnished house with its own swimming pool (8 x 4 meters, 160 - 170 cm deep) and air conditioning in all bedrooms. Greet the sun on the newly renovated yoga platform terrace at the end of the garden. Or enjoy the shade under the shelter and awnings of the veranda or the other terraces around the pool. In 2025, the house will still be available from 16 to 30 August!

The house is very suitable for two families with children or a family with grandparents, but at the same time cozy enough to stay in with fewer people. On the ground floor is a spacious bedroom-study with bathroom en suite. In front of the house is a veranda with roll-out blinds. There is also a terrace by the pool and a terrace in the back of the garden. From the garden you have a beautiful view over the fields and on the horizon characteristic French villages. A dip in the pool is wonderfully refreshing.

Upon entering you can store some things and your coat in the hall that runs directly to the living room with open kitchen. Adjacent is the spacious bedroom-study with double bed and ensuite bathroom. Upstairs are three bedrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning. The yellow smaller room has a bed and a trundle bed, the second (blue) room has a double bed and the third spacious (green) bedroom has two single beds that can easily be pushed together. Bed linen is included in the rental price. The upstairs bathroom has two sinks and a shower. Separate toilet. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with a dishwasher, electric hob, combi oven/microwave and a fridge with freezer. The washing machine is in the garage of the house. Two bicycles are available to cycle to the bakery or the river (1.3 kilometers away), for example. 

Collias is a typical bustling southern French village with bakery, supermarket, café and restaurants, our holiday home on the outskirts of the village offers a beautiful base. Three minutes walk out of the neighborhood and you are in the campaign for an (evening) walk past olive groves and vineyards and garrigue.

The house is a 1.5-kilometre walk from the Gardon River, a popular place for bathing, kayaking, cycling, climbing and pony trekking. 600 meters from the house is a public tennis court that the municipality of Collias has renovated this year. There are also basketball and football facilities and there is a playground for younger children. A few steps away there is also a boule court. There are also many marked hiking trails that are ideal for discovering the Gorges du Gardon on foot. The ancient Roman aqueduct bridge, the Pont du Gard, is 7km away by road – or better yet, a beautiful 2-hour canoe trip along the river.

Uzès is a pretty town with a characteristic square, ducal palace and the Finestrelle tour, from where you can walk through the valley of the Eure. Avignon and Nîmes are the two big famous cities, but also nice to visit are Orange and further away Arles and Montpellier. The villages of Vers-Pont-du-Gard, St. Bonnet du Gard, Castillon-du-Gard. Saint Siffret and St-Quentin-la-Poterie are close by and also worth a visit. Also nice: Beaucaire and Tarascon. The towns both have their own castle.

Our parents fell in love with this region forty years ago. Every year we went camping here. In the 80s they bought a holiday home in Collias. Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellation tenant

1. Tenant must cancel by e-mail.

2. In case of cancellation, the tenant owes the following cancellation costs:

a. 50% of the rental price in case of cancellation more than 3 months before the start date of the rental period;

b. 70% of the rental price in case of cancellation more than 2 months but no longer than 3 months before the start date of the rental period;

c. 90% of the rental price in case of cancellation more than 1 month but no longer than 2 months before the start date of the rental period;

d. 100% of the rental price in case of cancellation less than 1 month before the start date of the rental period.

3. In addition to the cancellation costs, the landlord may charge a fixed amount of €250 for administration costs.

4. If the stay is rented out to a third party for a (partially) agreed period, the cancellation costs will be reduced by the rental income.
