The ground floor of our house can accommodate 6 people and we also have 2 baby cots available. The garden and swimming pool (open until the end of October) are exclusively for you and you do not have to share them with other guests. The kitchen is fully equipped, in addition there is a comfortable living room.
We have games for all ages both indoors and outdoors, so there is always something to do. You can play darts and table tennis in the covered shed. There is a pétanque court in the front garden. If you prefer to relax, you can read a book in peace in the hammock between the tall trees in our large garden or one of the seating areas outside or inside.
The weather in spring and autumn is often pleasant for a snack or drink in the afternoon sun. Or to jump into the swimming pool (which is even open from mid-April to the end of October), read a book in the hammock or play a game at the table or in your own private forest.
In addition to enjoying our holiday home, the area surrounding the house offers many opportunities to explore. For example, visit the medieval village of Monpazier, which is 7 minutes away from our house. Or visit the many castles and caves. For example, Château de Biron (one of the main attractions of the Aquitaine) is about 15 minutes away. Or one of the nearby (wine) tastings.
In the summer, many things are organized in the region, including regular evening markets and shows or fairs at castles. Or you can canoe on the Dordogne. Late summer and autumn are ideal for quietly visiting the streets and markets of the historic villages or admiring the historic architecture. And of course you can enjoy local delicacies here all year round in a cozy café or restaurant.
Maison Saint-Blaise also offers plenty of options indoors and outdoors for pleasant moments. The kitchen is spacious and you have the opportunity to prepare a delicious meal together (and of course there is also a BBQ outside). The kitchen is fully equipped, in addition to sufficient dishes, plates, etc. for children and adults.
In addition to an oven and 4-burner stove, there is also a spacious American refrigerator and of course a dishwasher. The washing machine is also located in the kitchen. The kitchen flows into the utility room and here we have created a coffee corner with various coffee making facilities. There is a Nespresso machine and also a classic machine. And of course a French press and a milk frother cannot be missed. We have also thought about tea drinkers.
The 3 spacious bedrooms are all located on the ground floor, adjacent to the living room and all have an en-suite bathroom. One of the bathrooms has a bath. Two bedrooms have a 180x200cm box spring. The third bedroom has 2 single beds measuring 90x200cm. In the living room you will find a nice corner sofa and smart 4k TV. We have various board games in the cupboard and there is a large teak dining table with room for 12 people. We have a fireplace in the kitchen.
Weather permitting, our heated swimming pool is open from mid-April to the end of October. While children play in the large heated swimming pool, you can relax with a drink or a good book in one of the sun loungers or seating areas.
Our holiday home combines a modern rustic style that exudes elegance and charm. The house is decorated in such a way that it provides coziness in all seasons of the year. The unique périgourdine style gives a special touch that is sure to please.
The house borders a main road, but the garden is spacious and completely fenced. You need a car, even for a visit to the bakery. However, you will find this a 7-minute drive away and you also have plenty of choice, in both Monpazier and Beaumont. various bakers (and butchers) can be found. There are also supermarkets here. But you can also easily get on the road if you want to explore the region. You will hear traffic noises, but the location is private and quiet, surrounded by tall trees and a large garden to stroll through.
