La Grange

Milhac-de-Nontron is a town in the Dordogne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, about ten kilometers southeast of Nontron. Its territory of almost 35 km² belongs to the natural and tourist region Périgord Vert, characterized by its wooded and agricultural landscapes and limestone soil. Crossed by the Chantres, a tributary of the Dronne, Milhac-de-Nontron was inhabited by our Neolithic ancestors. However, the village developed later, in the Middle Ages, in particular through the establishment of a Templar commandery. At the same time, the parish fell under the archpriest of Condat, with headquarters in Champagnac, a few kilometers from Brantôme. When passing through Saint-Jean-de-Côle, do not miss to admire the old 12th century bridge classified as a Historic Monument, the narrow streets lined with beautiful flowers and the half-timbered houses of the 14th century.
