The living room on the first floor is spacious, with books, CDs, stereo equipment. The fireplace is for decoration and may not be used. Large table, chaise longe, sofa. In the corner is a nice desk where you can sit and work with your notebook.
View from under the cherry trees. If it is very hot, windy always a nice cooling breeze. Just an afternoon nap under the trees is also possible.
2 km from the house, swim in a nice calm swimming lake, with picnic tables and trees.

The food is delicious cherries in Maison Montigny.
Here we go every Sunday to the market in Quarres les Tombes, afternoon they bake fresh waffles .... delicious.
A beautiful fireplace for some extra warmth in the cooler ensures period.

Avallon
for sports enthusiasts
Hotel du Marchal Chastellux in about 1900. The building still stands and is still quite the same as 100 years ago. Only the horse is no more.

The old town of Avallon (10 mins by car) is very worthwhile. Life has stood still.
Le Sabotier used to be a atelier for wooden shoes. Some details are still visible in the house

The village of Puits is tucked away in the rolling countryside of the département of Cote d'Or.
The area is perfect for cyclists. Many kilometres of traffic-free roads with some beautiful scenery and villages. This bicycle is at Les Papillons...but you might want to bring your own!
