The terrace at the rear directly overlooks the infamous 11th hole (island hole) of Golf de la Preze on the Domaine de la Haute Preze. This Domaine consists of 44 luxury homes. Some of the homes are permanently occupied. Golf de la Preze has an 18-hole course for people with GVB, but also an 18-hole par-3 course for people who are not yet ready. Tenants receive a 25% discount on the 18-hole green fee for the large course.

The special thing about this villa compared to the other villas on this domaine is that there are patio doors in the kitchen at the front which give access to a west-facing terrace. So there is always a terrace with either sun or cooling. There is a BBQ. The kitchen is equipped with many appliances, such as a bread machine and a Magimix food processor. The Domaine is located in the part of the Charente that is also called the "three-country point". It borders the departments of Haute Vienne and Dordogne. There are many options for large and small excursions. For example, visit the castle of La Rochefoucauld, the slipper museum in Varaignes (22 km) or the Roman church in Cherves-Chatelars. Cities such as Limoges, famous for its porcelain, Angouleme (45 km) with its old town and comic museum, Cognac (70 km) with the famous cognac houses and Perigueux with its medieval center and cathedral (95 km) are also worth a visit.
Would you rather be more active? At Montron (8 km) there is a canoe center from which trips on the Tardoire can be made. You can sail on Lac Lavaud (24 km). Walking and cycling routes (ATB) have been set out in the immediate vicinity.
