Located in the Charente, on the border with the Dordogne, you will find the town of Mazières in the hilly landscape. Peacefully located, but anything but isolated, because for daily shopping you can quickly be on site in, for example, Chasseneuil sur Bonnieure, or Roumazières. Or you combine groceries with a beautiful castle, a nice cafe and a delicious restaurant in cozy La Rochefoucauld. Due to the undulating landscape between Limoges and Angoulême, Mazières is easily accessible via the N 141.
Mazières itself is located on the D16. Domaine Charente is located in the small village opposite the church.

The travel distance from Breda to Mazières is 842 kilometers, or more than 9 hours.

The landscape is varied by picturesque villages, forests, grazing cows and above all the Lacs de Haute Charente. There are so many great things to do, on our domain and beyond! Lein draws up a fun agenda every week, full of tips about restaurants, night markets, village festivals and music festivals.

The cottage was originally the home of the servants of the maison de maitre dating from 1800, also located on the beautiful domain. Our wonderfully spacious and characteristic cottage for up to 3 people and a baby, brings you back to the authentic atmosphere of the past, with the luxury of today.

Nostalgic elements, beautiful visible old beams, 'pierres' and the traditional construction of the Cottage make you dream away, where the real French country life still exists. During the renovation, typical elements have been preserved in combination with the conveniences such as air conditioning, heating, fully equipped open kitchen and WIFI.

Through the beautiful garden you enter the living room with kitchen through the entrance. In this living room your eye immediately falls on the renovated fireplace with the authentic bread oven, which was still used until after the war. One level lower brings us to the bathroom with shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet.
On the 1st floor we find the very spacious bedroom with separate room with sink. This room communicates with a smaller separate bedroom for a 3rd person. This room is not too big, but it is very attractive and cozy.

From the living room with patio doors we stand on the terrace with comfortable garden furniture and we have a beautiful view over the undulating surroundings. The cottage has a lovely spacious private garden. The site is completely walled, so ideal for children who will have fun in the gardens and of course in the refreshing swimming pool.

The house is equipped with air conditioning and heating. WIFI, a parking space and bed & bath linen are included. Please bring your own towels for the pool.
