Gite Charbonnaud

Set in the beautiful French Countryside Charbonnuad is down a quiet lane on the Charante/Dordogne boarders in South West France with Aubeterre which is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France only a stones throw away, it really is the perfect place to get away from it all. There are excellent restaurants, shops,cafes etc a river beach for swimming,canoes for hire on the river, a local golf course & cycle & walking tracks. It is a stunning place to relax and enjoy your holiday.

Charbonnaud is situated in 6 hectares of farmland with sheep, free range chickens, veggie and flower gardens. A welcome pack of local produce is provided with stays of 3 nights or more and fresh seasonal veggies/herbs grown onsite. The owners live in the main farm house next door to the Gite.

With 2 bedrooms and a large corner sofa bed to sleep an additional 2 people along with 2 travel cots if required. The property been all on one level is ideal for young children and also anyone with limited mobility. We have travel cots, high chair, bumbo, baby bath, walker, jumperoo and play mats etc all to make your holiday that bit easier with your little ones. 

The private pool has a small covered terrace area along with other seating areas in the garden, BBQ and dining table with a parasol to keep you cool in the warm summer months.  

Although our location is rural, we are within easy reach of pretty villages and towns and many activities throughout the summer months  

There is ample onsite parking for guest vehicles within sight of the gite
