We are Gerrie and Willem and have had a holiday bungalow at the Village Le Chat park in Ecuador since 2025. A place to relax, enjoy nature and make unforgettable memories together. From Utrecht it is a 930 km drive.
Those looking for a vacation away from the crowds will find the perfect destination here. This charming holiday park is located on the border of the Charente and the Dordogne, a Natura 2000 area known for its rolling hills, rivers, castles and delicious regional dishes.
The park is spacious and sloping, giving each house its own charm and privacy. From our terrace you look out over the woods and the hills in the distance.
It feels like you are in the middle of nature, but with all the comforts at your fingertips.
At the park you will find:
Two swimming pools, including a paddling pool, with sunbeds and parasols.
A beautiful swimming and fishing lake with sandy beach and sunbeds.
Two all-weather tennis courts, jeu-de-boules courts, table tennis tables, playground, beach volleyball court, miniature golf and a football field.
In the summer there are many Dutch families who have already discovered the park, so possibly enough playmates for the children. In the summer, activities are organized for the children every now and then.
Golf enthusiasts will get their money's worth at Golf International de La Prèze, right next to the park. This 18-hole course is located between rolling hills, forests and water features. In addition, there is a 9-hole par-3 course.

Our holiday bungalow is located in a quiet, sunny spot in the middle of the green.
The bungalow is completely on one level and equipped for a maximum of six people.
Inside you will find three double bedrooms. One room has one double bed and the other two have two single beds. In addition, there are two bathrooms — both with toilet and sink, one with bath/shower and the other with shower.
The bright living room has a cozy sitting area and sliding doors to the terrace.
The open kitchen is modern and fully equipped: an oven, induction hob, dishwasher and a spacious fridge with separate freezer compartment.
On the side of the bungalow is a cozy sitting area where you can enjoy the first rays of sunshine with a cup of coffee in the morning. At the front, you'll find a large terrace with sun loungers, parasols and a dining table under a canopy — perfect for long summer evenings with a good glass of wine and a view of the setting sun.
Around the bungalow is a large, green garden with lots of privacy and plenty of space for children to play. You can simply park the car at the house. The location of Village Le Chat is quiet and rural, so a car is necessary for shopping and getting out. There is no suitable power supply at the park and at the house to charge an electric car. At the Intermarché in Montbron it is possible to charge the battery.
Sports activities in the area.
For hikers, runners, cyclists, cyclists and mountain bikers, the rolling surroundings offer ample opportunities. You can also canoe from Montbron on the Tardoire. Horse riding is possible from a riding school nearby. A climbing forest can be found in Massignac. A go-kart track can be found in Taponnat-Fleurignac. Sailing is possible at Les Lacs de Haute Charente.
