Le Sequioa

Our house Le Séquioa stands on a plot of 2500^m2, has its  own swimming pool and is surrounded by countryside and forest, situated in Southwest France (border Sud-Charente & Dordogne). From May 2025, le Séquioa will be equipped with a charging station and you can easily charge the electric car.

On this five-hectare private domain we have settled down with a few more Francophiles. Each gite has a large garden with private swimming pool. The domain was once a grand farm, the original buildings 'granges' have been tastefully renovated. Around it, 12 villas have been built, located on a cul-de-sac, creating the character of a cozy 'village'. The old water pump and bread oven are still present.  

Young parents can settle down with peace of mind on the domain, which is car-free (max. 15 km per hour - one-way traffic), your child can run around freely in the (play) garden and our swimming pool has an alarm (in accordance with French regulations). 

Our house Le Sequioa has a living area of 155m2^.  We describe our house as follows.........

You enter a spacious living room, cozy with wood stove and open kitchen. The garden offers plenty of natural shade on hot days.  After a day à la campagne and the French outdoors, you will be rosy. Sleep well in 1 of the 4 bedrooms; shutters keep the house cool and the mosquitoes out; The living room has air conditioning. The house has 2 bathrooms with shower/toilet and 1 bathroom with bath.  
Outside the high season, the evenings can be chilly, we provide a pile of wood! 

Le Sequoia is fully equipped, in addition to a super-fully equipped kitchen you will find books (+ information about the region), games and a box of toys. In the village, in addition to a large Intermarché, there is a wide range of small shopkeepers and a market on Mondays.
Don't feel like cooking? In Chalais and the surrounding area you will find numerous cozy restaurants, some internationally oriented, but also the regional cuisine is well represented.

Here you can relax, or relax on a sun bed or relax by exertion on 1 of the tennis courts. Rackets, balls and other games are of course available in our house. Even more action? Then karting at the Circuit de Haute Saintonge might be something (about 20 minutes by car)?

For golf enthusiasts, the Golf Club Aubeterre is a 30-minute drive away. A nice course and Aubeterre is also a fantastic authentic village and a 'must see & visit'. Pubs, restaurants, a square with jazz music (Hot Club de France). A perfect combination to settle down on one of the cozy terraces after a round of golf.
