Le Petit Pezet is quietly situated on the edge of a small valley and overlooks a secluded park. Space, space, space is what you get here; Four acres of gently sloping lawns bordered by mature woodland trees, six acres of private woodland and a large (15mx6m) private swimming pool at the bottom of the garden (open May to October). It's a really beautiful place.
The stone main house is an old farmhouse with a converted barn that has been lovingly restored by the 'Medecin de Village' and his wife who lived there for many years. It is a modern typical 'Maison Charentaise' which is full of period character with high ceilings with exposed oak beams, huge fireplaces and old stonework.
The stone main house comfortably sleeps six adults on two floors in three spacious bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms and four children in two bedrooms in the attic, with a stylish shared bathroom. The more modern annex sleeps four adults in two bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. The entire property sleeps up to 14 guests plus infants. The prices you see are for 10 people in the main house. For the 4 extra guests in the guesthouse there is a surcharge per night and extra cleaning.

The sitting room has high ceilings with huge exposed oak beams, a huge fireplace, a home cinema wall and a small bar with bean bags and patio doors leading out to the front garden. A solid oak staircase leads to the mezzanine balcony which gives access to the gallery room and the children's bedrooms.

Large open plan kitchen/dining room with terracotta floor and views over the garden.
Fully equipped with American fridge/freezer, microwave, hob & oven and dishwasher. French doors to the garden and the side door to the porch.

Comfortable seating for 10 people next to a wood burning stove.

The Gallery Room (1st floor) - Super King, open shower cubicle and double sink with enclosed toilet. Exposed beams with a private balcony overlooking the upper terrace.
The 'Garden Room' (ground floor) - Super King/Twin room with private shower and toilet. French doors to the upper terrace.
The Orchard Room (ground floor) - Super King/Twin room, private bathroom with bath/shower, double sinks, toilet and bidet. Features a wood burning stove in an old stone fireplace.
The children's rooms (first floor) - Two attic rooms, both with two single beds and a shared bathroom.

The 'Rose Room' - Super King/Twin room with private shower and toilet and wood burning stove. French doors to the courtyard.

GARDENS
Petit Pezet has large grounds – four acres of gently sloping garden bordered by mature woodland trees, including old umbrella pines, giant variegated pines, old red oaks, birches, maples and weeping willows.
The garden directly surrounding the house is meticulously maintained with old climbing roses, mature wisteria, collections of rhododendrons, huge hydrangeas and a beautiful magnolia.
Sun loungers on the lower terrace offer uninterrupted views across the small valley to the pool and huge bean bags provide shade under the pine trees.
THE VERANDA
A great area for outdoor dining and lounging with gas plancha. A flexible setup that can easily accommodate a house full of guests.
THE SWIMMING POOL
15m x 6m indoor swimming pool with pool house. Surrounded by sun loungers. The swimming pool is open from May to October. The pool is not heated.
THE FOREST
Six hectares of woodland to explore just across the road. Mowed grassland paths, small clearings, and a bamboo forest offer great adventures for kids and peaceful walks.
The house is in a perfect area for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers. You can also fish and swim in several lakes nearby.
