Villa de Banninck ****

Villa Banninck is located on the border of the Dordogne and Charente, in South West France in the village of Laprade, close to Aubeterre sur Dronne (une des plus beaux villages de France). The villa has all the comforts and can accommodate up to 10 people. From Utrecht the travel distance is almost 1000 km. There are also good and cheap flight connections via Rotterdam or Schiphol to Bordeaux (Ryanair, KLM and Easyjet) and via Bergerac (Transavia). The travel time by car from Bordeaux or Bergerac to villa Banninck is approximately 1 hour.

Definition:
The stately villa is about 150 years old and completely restyled and refurbished in 2014 with modern, practical and luxurious furniture.

Features: luxury and comfort while retaining authentic features of the original functions. The redesign was carried out under the direction of the Dutch designer Joris van Grinsven, who gave several historic buildings in the region a second life (seigneursdeclerans.com).

Around the house are ancient trees and a lovely terrace with sun or shade as desired. In the garden of approximately 8000m2, there is a new swimming pool with a spacious terrace, luxurious sun loungers, large parasols and a shade cloth covered terrace. The swimming pool (6*12m) is securely fenced.
Shops for daily necessities in Aubeterre sur Dronne (approximately 3km), St Severin (approximately 5km) or Chalais (approximately 10km). The towns of Angoulême, Bergerac and Perigieux are approximately a 45-minute drive away.

Due to its location (near all amenities, but with sufficient distance), the villa offers a lot of privacy. The villa is equipped with a (new) central heating system, two wood stoves and a beautiful fireplace in the salon. This makes the villa very attractive in the early and late season. After all, the weather is a lot friendlier than in the Netherlands.
The region invites you to take action: walking, cycling, canoeing, culture in old towns. But you don't have to leave the house: the private pool and the large garden offer plenty of options. Very safe in connection with Covid-19.
