Old family farm
In 2013 we completely renovated the family farm, built around 1933 by our grandparents, and furnished it with contemporary comfort, but retaining its special, characteristic features. The farmhouse, now a holiday home, is located in a beautiful place, surrounded by beautiful landscape.
Comfortable and welcoming for 12 people
The holiday home offers space for up to 12 people (and 2 babies or toddlers). There is a lounge, a well-equipped kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms/showers and 2 toilets. From the porch, terrace and pergola you can enjoy the view.
The house offers the opportunity to spend a wonderful time with family or friends. Take a break, away from all the stress or the hustle and bustle of the city. Tranquility is assured!
There is a lot of land around the house. Lots of space for children. Play material is available.
The house has been rated 3 stars by the (departmental) government.
Peace and space
La Roque is located at an altitude of 500 meters, along the Vallée du Lot. Below, in the valley, where the rivers Lot and Dourdou meet. In the distance, you can see the mountains of the Auvergne, the Massif Central.
Guests can relax and walk here in a peaceful setting. You can enjoy the beautiful nature and will be amazed by the panoramic view all around.
There is also plenty to do for the active holidaymaker, such as mountain biking on marked routes, canoeing or horseback riding. Even a walk with a donkey can fill a vacation day .
A region with history
La Roque is located in the Aveyron, a region rich in history and a lot of cultural heritage. The villages of the Aveyron all exude an authentic atmosphere. You can discover all kinds of regional products and taste them at local markets. Or you can visit a beekeeper, a cheese farm, a local winegrower or an ostrich farm, for example. In the culinary field, the Aveyron has a rich tradition. This can be found in the local restaurants.
La Roque is part of the municipality of Conques-en-Rouergue, a worldwide known pilgrimage site with a lot of old architecture. The pre-Romanesque chapel, the fifteenth-century church and the picturesque hamlet of La Vinzelle are examples of this. The village of Conques-en-Rouergue is considered by many to be one of the
most beautiful villages in France and is also classified as such. Some monuments in the area, Conques, Espalion and Estaing, are listed by UNESCO, L'Organisation des Nations Unies pour l'Education, la Science et la Culture.
