In the vicinity are many opportunities for outings. For example, it is located about 6 km away Szilvásvárad Szalajka with its beautiful waterfalls, Lipizzaner stud farms and craft shops and restaurants. Summer and winter is a good place on one of the terraces friendly. You can go hiking and cycling, mountain biking or horse riding and there is a narrow gauge railway in the hills. The Bükk National Park is beautiful in all seasons. In the summer you can enjoy nature and walking or cycling out. In Silvasvarad are mountain bikes for rent. You can also use a narrow gauge railway omhoog.De Szalaika famous waterfalls are within walking distance, like the cave in the Istállós-kö where prehistoric finds have been made .. the Bükk National Park is an offshoot of the Carpathians with a height of nearly 1000 meter. The (beech) forests seem infinite, but there are open spaces. The mountain consists of limestone on which more than 300 places caves are formed. In Lillafüred in Miskolc, there are several caves open to the public and there is a cave used as a spa bath. The national park has a rich flora and fauna. So there are wild cats, martens and weasels. The historic city of Eger has many attractions. The city is mainly baroque and classicist architecture. The Archdiocese of Eger has the second largest cathedral in Hungary 1. The inner city has partially pedestrianized streets with beautiful buildings and terraces. The main attractions in Eger are: - the castle (VAR) including casemates-Cathedral-lyceum with library and observatory (camera obscura) - Archbishop's Palace and museum Minorite-the Minaret, the last vestige of the Turk Negro is further known from called "Egri Bikavér" or the bull's blood wine of Eger. The story goes that the Turks are thus expelled because they thought that bull's blood was drunk. It is, therefore, a firm and spicy wine. Are many smaller and larger wine cellars in the city.
