Mountain home Casa Cancelinha is located in the dreamy slate village of Soito Colmeal, municipality of Gois, Coimbra district in central Portugal.
The area is unspoilt and pure, with beautiful authentic towns, the clean Ceira River with idyllic beaches. The people are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and calm.
The B&B has 2 comfortable guest rooms, each with its own shower and toilet. The rooms are on the ground floor and border a terrace with an intimate garden with beautiful views of the Serra de Açor. Below you can hear a small river babbling while the swallows chatter happily around you.
The rooms can be connected and are therefore very suitable for a family with children or for couples. Adjacent to the guest rooms is the cozy and bright kitchen-diner, equipped with a wood-burning stove to spend the chilly winters comfortably.
The house is located at street level and has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with separate toilet and a spacious, bright living room that is heated with a pellet stove.
Soito has a beautiful community swimming pool with clear mountain water. This swimming pool is only used by the residents of Soito and its guests.
Next to Casa Cancelinha is the village hall or 'the Convivio'. This is where village life takes place...after lunch the residents come together for coffee or a beer and to share the latest news with each other. Every Saturday evening pizzas are baked in the communal wood-fired pizza oven. Together we maintain the village, pruning and weeding the flower beds and cleaning the swimming pool and the tanque. The baker, grocer and fishmonger visit Soito every week so that you can easily do your shopping.
