Next to the park is a 19-hole golf course and less than a kilometre away is an indoor ski hall. Bus connections to the North Sea beach and Amsterdam are only 500 m from the park and the dunes and the IJmuiderstrand are easily accessible by bike.

Environment

Velzen-Zuid is a village with characteristic features, part of the old village still exists, including the church and div. Monuments. Thanks to these characteristics, the village is a permanent filming location for the TV series Good Times, Bad Times. If you want to spend a day out during your stay, the area offers more than enough possibilities. Take a walk in the park, go to the petting zoo, play in the playground, or have a drink in the tearoom. For a day on the water, you've come to the right place on board Veerdienst Amsterdam. The Zaanse Schans is a typical Dutch environment where there is a lot to see and you can take a walk on the beach in Zandvoort and Bloemendaal.
