In 2006 we bought our beautiful house in Le Marche which we used as a holiday home for the first few years and where we have been living permanently since December 2014. Because of our age (and old age unfortunately also comes with defects) we want to sell our house.
Detached house with swimming pool on 1200 m2 of private land in Le Marche
Surrounded by the beautiful, rolling hills of Le Marche, stands this house with swimming pool. The house was thoroughly renovated in 1997 and equipped with all comforts while retaining its authentic character.
The front of the house with entrance into the living room hides the biggest surprises of the house. They are located on both the back and side. There is a beautiful wooden veranda and a kidney-shaped swimming pool with spectacular views.
The living area of the property is approximately 130 m2. This does not include the garage of approximately 41 m2 located under the house. It also contains a pellet stove to which the radiators of the house are connected.
The attractive house, built of local, large stones, also has several smoothly plastered and sunny yellow painted walls. It gives a nice contrast. The roof tiles emphasize the authentic character of the house.
The house contains a living room with open kitchen equipped with a combi convection oven, gas hob, dishwasher (end of December 2024), 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A bedroom and bathroom are located on the ground floor, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor.
Ground floor layout
From the open kitchen adjacent to the living room you walk to the wooden veranda (pergolato). This is located over the full length of the house. The pergolato was covered with roof tiles but unfortunately we had to remove them. All materials are still on the back terrace.
On the short side of the house is the swimming pool with a size of approximately 8 x 4 meters. The pool was renovated in 2022. The view is beautiful.
The walls on the long side are made of the golden yellow stones that are so characteristic of this region.
The living room has a wood-burning fireplace that can be used both open and closed. Here too, the beautiful stone wall is visible, as is the slightly vaulted ceiling. From the dining table you look out over the surrounding hills. The otherwise fully equipped, modern designed kitchen is partly hidden from view, but still forms one room with the living room.
On the ground floor there is a tasteful bathroom furnished with modern materials with beautiful tiles and rain shower. The bathroom overlooks the pergolato.
Both the ground floor and the first floor have beautiful tiles. In the living room, the wooden staircase with wrought iron banister leads to the first floor.
On the first floor
On the first floor, under a slightly sloping roof with wooden beams, there are two bedrooms, one of which is currently used as an office. Here is also the second bathroom. The shower has made room for a washing machine and dryer, but can be returned.
Garden
The attractive wooden veranda adjacent to the house is a nice place to be in every season thanks to the vertical transparent plastic roller blinds. At the edge of the pool you look out over rolling hills with the village of Fratte Rosa on the hilltop. The view never gets boring. There is agricultural land around the house.
Against the front of the house is a stone pizza oven and a beautiful, old, characteristic olive tree. 2 windows have ornamental wrought ironwork on the outside, this was done by the previous owners.
The window frames and shutters are made of aluminum; All windows are equipped with mosquito nets.
After we bought the house, we replaced all windows and doors with aluminum frames, shutters and doors and invested in double glazing and insulation of the roof.
On the roof are still the original roof tiles that are so characteristic of this region. They have thus retained the authentic look of the house.
The house stands on about 1,200 m2 of private land with olive trees and fruit trees. The property is completely fenced.
Location
The house is located in the north of Le Marche, about 4 kilometers from San Lorenzo in Campo, a nice town with supermarkets and all necessary shops. It is located about 25 kilometers from the sea and the famous seaside resort of Senigallia and 25 kilometers from the Apennines. Both can therefore be reached within half an hour.
Ancona airport is an hour's drive away.
