The house was renovated in 2007, is surrounded by nature and is equipped with all the comforts of today, such as a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, new electricity, a good septic tank, guaranteed water supply (even in dry, hot summers) and fast internet. In 2007, electric radiators were installed in every room on the 1st and 2nd floors for the winters. The living room has -in addition to the electric radiator- an extra wood stove and the garden provides an abundance of good firewood every year.
It is well situated on the sun but there are also plenty of shaded areas.
It is located on an attractive plot of 950 m2 with terraces bordered by walls. The garden is beautifully overgrown with young and old vines, many different types of plants and flowers and with many different types of fruit trees: figs, lemons, apricots, cherries, plums, apples, pears, peaches, 1 orange, 1 mandarin, 1 khaki, 1 medlar and 1 pomegranate. It is the combination of back to nature with responsible pleasures of modern times such as good Internet, a dishwasher (and washing machine) and a well-equipped kitchen. The lower floor is the original cantina. There is now a washing machine in the bathroom of this floor, but otherwise this floor is still the cantina to work from in the garden and on the house. With such a garden and for the grape harvest, it is very nice to have such a large cantina.
The cottage is located in the localita Noceire (6 houses), near the coastal town of Ventigmilia (about seven kilometers) 2.5 kilometers from the more famous village of Airole. The mild climate is fantastic. The area is protected by the Alps from winds from the north.
The surrounding area is a hiking paradise with hikes for beginners to tough mountain hikes for experienced hikers. The landscape is very varied. Each altitude level has its own characteristics and special flora.
The house is also a great base for trips to the beautiful, small villages in the mountains. Medieval villages that are hidden between the flower coast and the rapidly rising rugged Alps. And our house is also a great base to visit cities such as San Remo, Imperia, Nice, Menton and Monaco and so on.
A 5-minute walk from the house you will find "our private" beach on the Roya, where you can swim excellently. Even in the middle of summer, the water at our beach (real sand!) is deep enough for that. And the Mediterranean Sea is only 15 minutes by car.
It is an excellent place for walking, swimming and to enjoy the peace, culture and nature.
The contents (or part of them) can be taken over at a very reasonable price if desired. In fact, you can live in the house immediately, it is ready to move into.
