Campaniacasa is a large holiday home with four apartments. Next to the house is the swimming pool and under the large olive tree there is an outdoor kitchen/restaurant. The house stands on 4000 m2 of land just below the medieval part of the village of San Giovanni a Piro. The village is located at an altitude of approximately 400 meters in the Cilento, the southern part of the Campania region.
The house is surrounded by greenery on the old grain fields of the village. On the left the view is determined by Monte Bulgheria (1221 m). The front overlooks the mountain ranges of the Apennines. To the right of the house is the sea, the Golfo di Policastro, only 4 km downhill.
We are in the Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni national park.
The house was designed by us and built in 2000-2001 by a local contractor. The swimming pool and outdoor kitchen have also been completed. It is shaped like a Roman villa with a patio on the mountain side. This can be covered with a tent cloth in the summer. On the garden side there is the arcade at garden level and the terraces on one level.
There are four apartments, two downstairs on the garden side and two upstairs on the mountain side. Downstairs, the apartments have a living room with open kitchen, a bathroom, bedroom and an outdoor terrace. They are suitable for a maximum of five people. Upstairs, the apartments have two bedrooms and can accommodate up to seven people.
The 5 x 9 meter swimming pool is right next to the house. The outdoor kitchen is at the end of the garden under the centuries-old olive tree. A very spacious kitchen with extensive options including a pizza oven. A wonderful place to rest during the day and enjoy a Cilentan dinner in the evening, of course prepared with our own olive oil.
The house is a 7-8 minute walk from the center of the village where the shops, supermarkets and restaurants are located. Yet it is surrounded by greenery and nature. Ideal as a B&B, apartment rental, or group accommodation for those who love peace and nature. Plenty of opportunity to take walks/hikes and bike rides and of course enjoy the sea and authentic Italy.
