Haus am Berg is located on the outskirts of Bad Bertrich in Germany. Bad Bertrich is a spa town in the Eifel Volcano and is located about 7 kilometers from the Moselle. Despite the fact that the house is located on the edge of the village, the fact that it is higher than the street makes you feel completely free in the middle of a green oasis. The climate in the Eifel is very stable, especially from May to September and is sometimes compared to a subtropical climate. This can also be seen in the many wine plantations in the vicinity. Around the house you immediately enter the woods and there are various possibilities for activities of beautiful walking tours, cycling routes and mountain bike trails.
The house itself was completely renovated in 2011 and has a total of 8 bedrooms, each with a separate bathroom with toilet and shower. These rooms are spread over two floors and can accommodate a total of 20 people. On the second floor there is also a large kitchen and sitting room. On the third floor a playroom has been set up on one side and the other side is used as storage and laundry room. This still has potential for further development.
With the renovation, the heating has also been completely replaced and the whole house has underfloor heating that is electrically heated. This installation is located in an outbuilding next to the house. The house does not yet have solar panels, but given the location and the space near the heating, this is an ideal opportunity in combination with a battery. An air conditioner is also installed in the sitting room.
Outside there is a terrace with a barbecue. The location of the house is on the south and that means that from spring to the end of September there is sun on the terrace from morning to evening.
The house has a goods elevator that can be used to bring the guests luggage upstairs.
