Lovely spacious holiday home located in the village of Levousy (North Bohemia) for up to 5 people.

The house has 2 bedrooms, a cozy kitchen diner, a living room with a fireplace, spacious bathroom and separate 2nd toilet. The house has central heating and hot water for the shower comes from the newly installed combi boiler. Free use of WiFi (fast enough to watch Netflix!)

The house is detached and has a large enclosed garden and orchard with fire pit.

From our holiday home you are in only 45 minutes by car in Prague (P + R) and Teresienstadt can also be reached in half an hour.

Many cycling and walking opportunities in the area.

From the moment we first met the Czech Republic in 2005, we have been in love with the country, the peace, the space and the hospitality of the Czech people. It has been our dream for a long time to have our own place here. We found this spot in 2016 in Levousy, 800 km from Utrecht. Levousy is located on the border of North and Central Bohemia, 60 km north of Prague and 100 km south of Dresden.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

Our house is about 60 km from the city of Prague so ideal for a day of sightseeing. We recommend parking the car at one of the P & R's in the city and from there take the metro to the city center.
Prague
In the Czech Republic there are many castles (Zamek) and castles (Hrad), many of which are also open to the public, with or without a tour. If you go with a guided tour is generally in Czech and you get the translation in English, German or very often in Dutch.
Castles
Half an hour from our house is Theresienstadt (German) or Terezín (Czech). Terezin is a fortress within the Czech fortified town of Theresienstadt. The fort where the former concentration camp from the Second World War of Theresienstadt is located, is called 'Kleine Vesting', the city itself is called 'Grote Vesting'. The memorial is located next to the former concentration camp.
Teresienstadt
For car enthusiasts, a visit to the Skoda Museum and the factory in Mlada Boleslav is of course a must! For the visit to the factory (age 10 and older) it is advisable to reserve this at least 2 weeks in advance. This can be done via the website of the museum.

Visit one of the zoos in the Czech Republic. The closest ones can be found in: * Usti Nad Labem * Decin * Prague * Pilzen
Zoos
Those who enjoy walking or cycling can indulge in the many beautiful nature parks in the Czech Republic. Bohemian Switzerland with its impressive natural bridge, Pravcická Brána, which you can walk to from the (very touristy) village of Hrensko. A boat trip through the caverns is also possible here.
