In 2002 we got to know the region and were charmed by the authenticity, undulating countryside with vineyards, olive groves, picturesque villages and friendly people. We enjoyed the beautiful coastline with deserted coves, islands and coastal towns. The apartment we renovated while preserving its character but with all comfort. We enjoyed this place intensively with our 4 kids and had already a lot of fun. We want to share this with you.

The nearby rocky beach is easily accessible in a few minutes by following further the street.

Everything else is within walking distance such as the baker, the butcher, the grocer, the daily vegetables, fruit and fish market, the bank, etc. ...

Also terraces, nice smelling restaurants, but also rustic benches are ubiquitous.

In the morning when waking up, in the distance you can hear entering the fishing boats into the harbour.

Rent of boats and kayaking is possible.

Close there is also a public swimming pool, beautifully located along the sea.

The large beach of Rovinj is very beautiful with trees here and there almost up to the water as you can see in the picture.

Istria is also an excellent destination for hiking and cycling enthusiasts.

Entertainment center "Monvi": This is one of the largest in Croatia and is only 1 km away from the center. It occupies an area of 6000m2 full of entertainment for every age: tavernas, shops, amphitheater, cabaret and disco.

Also possibility of renting scooters and cars is available.
The old town of Rovinj is build in Venetian style on an island. Rovinj has been connected to the mainland 200 years ago.

Now it has become a beautiful fishing town. Some say this is the most beautiful town on the Croatian coast. It is not for nothing called the "Pearl" of the Istrian coast.

Because the peninsula is a semicircular hill, with medieval buildings running down to the water, but without a promenade around it, the sight of the old town on the water is truly magnificent.

In the winding uphill streets to the St. Euphemia church it is also delicious wander. On the square near the harbor on the south side of the old town you can enjoy a cappuccino. Rovinj is also popular by artists and painters.

Sights:
- The Baroque Franciscan monastery dating from the early 18th century.
- Regional Museum of Rovinj at the Tito Square.
- The Balbi port dated 1679. This is the prettiest of the three remaining ancient city gates.
- The St. Eufemia cathedral on top of the hill of the peninsula. This building from 1736 is the largest Baroque building in lstrië.

- Especially recommended are the boat trips to the beautiful Lim-Fjord (with some luck you'll see here some dolphins), or to beautiful Venice and to the beautiful port towns of Porec and Piran(Slovenia).

- BALE: the medieval town with narrow streets situated on a hill in the interior at 14 km from Rovinj.

- VRSAR: This medieval town was founded by the Romans. It is beautifully situated at the entrance of the Lim fjord. It has a picturesque old town with its typical Mediterranean character, a naturally sheltered harbor and a chain of small islands off the coast.

- PULA: One of the most impressive and famous sites here is the Roman amphitheater. It is the third largest amphitheater in the world. It is still used for various events such as concerts and a film festival. In the past, during the summer months the following well-known artists had concerts there: Sting, Anastatia, Pavarotti, Buena Vista Social Club, ...

- POREC: This is a 2000 year old port town on a peninsula with its busy marina and Roman remains. The Euphrasian Basilica (UNESCO list) from the 6th century is the finest example of Byzantine architecture in Croatia. The lively Old Town knew how to keep the charm of the past. You can also enjoy the narrow streets with Roman pavement.

- MOTOVUN: The 13th-century town lies on a 288 meter high hill. The view over the hilly interior is accessible from the majestic city walls. GROZNJAN, another old village is also worth a visit. This picturesque mountain village surrounded by walls is rediscovered by artists.

- Who loves rugged coastlines, quiet beaches and hospitable people should definitely do a trip to the fascinating islands CRES and LOSINJ. After about half an hour you can reach the island of Cres by a ferry from the mainland.
