TROPICAL FARM ADVENTURE IN RURAL ITACARÉ, BRAZIL.
Experience a tropical adventure in the 'jungle' at Fazenda Sao Jorge, municipality of Itacaré, Taboquinhas district. A beautiful green setting where rural life is simple and good.
The European autumn and winter months, here are the spring and summer months. The winter time here does not get colder than about 25⁰ during the day. Only the plane tickets could stop you , or maybe a language problem. Only Portuguese is spoken, although Spanish is also reasonably understood.
Location.
Our location is outside the inhabited world. Maps / Navigation hardly works here due to the absence of a phone signal and unreliable maps. We are happy to assist you in arriving at our farm from Taboquinhas, Itacaré.
Peace, space and nature.
These are the keywords for Fazenda Sāo Jorge.
We almost always sleep with the windows (with mosquito net) open, about as in the open air. Various species of hummingbirds and many other birds in all colors of the rainbow are your daily companions. You will stay in an exuberant nature reserve with many streams, rivers and waterfalls. Within the municipality of Itacaré you will also find beautiful beaches.
When renting the holiday home 'Valley View' you are 'self supporting'. If you appreciate help in the household, this can be arranged with our housekeeper.
Hiking.
On our site we have various hiking trails, from doable to challenging. If you are a real 'hiking lover', larger guided tours can be arranged.
Horseback riding.
Horses and donkeys are widely used here. If you want to go horseback riding, we can arrange that, with or without a guide. A very nice way to cross this beautiful area.
Visiting beaches .
As a day trip or multi-day experiences? Fantastic opportunities around you. Itacaré with many 'bounty like' beaches, towards Ilheus to the south or to the north the islands of Morro de Sao Paulo and Boipeba (our preference) or closer to the Marau Peninsula, you will live unique experiences. Afterwards possibly back in the tranquility of Fazenda São Jorge and your holiday will be unforgettable.
Water sports.
Taboquinhas is a well-known Rafting Paradise. You can experience water sports adventures close by on the Rio de Contas. In addition, there are many sea opportunities in the area and in the bay of Camamu. Taking a Barco to Barra Grande (Popular destination on the Marau Peninsula) is an adventure in itself .
