Two people for 14 days bed and breakfast for € 190, all year round in Bahia, Brazil.

A 13 day Sunweb holiday for two persons bed and breakfast in the Algarve, Portugal, you book in the spring from € 1200 to at least twice as much in high season. Then you will experience a mass tourism holiday.

For a change, experience a tropical adventure with personal care from Fazenda Sao Jorge, Taboquinhas, Itacaré district. A beautiful green environment where rural life is simply good. Only the airline tickets could still hold you back, or perhaps a language problem. Only Portuguese is spoken. It is necessary to use this language (or Spanish). Without this language you are almost helpless here.

You stay in an exuberant nature reserve with many streams, rivers and waterfalls and beautiful beaches nearby. We, the owners, stay there a few months a year and our site managers live there when we are not there.

Peace, space and nature.
These are the keywords for this location. Our guests use the most spacious room with double doors to the private veranda. We sleep with at least one window open and in early morning the door(s) open. Regularly a hummingbird flies in, looking at all the angles and leaving again. Various species of hummingbirds and many other birds in all colors of the rainbow are your daily companions.

Luzi, your hostess, cooks very well. Our guests eat and drink tastier and healthier than at restaurants in the village or vicinity. Most of the food and fruit is grown and harvested by Luzi and her husband at Fazenda Sao Jorge or comes from the neighbors. She cares for your inner man, your room and your laundry in a genuinely friendly way. Discuss your wishes with her, nothing is too much for her to please you.

Walking goals.
Besides our own waterfall, there are various (larger) falls within walking distance. This is an impressive tropical (hiking) area, but with hefty hills such as in the Belgian Ardennes. Luzi is willing to be your guide on these walks on our land and the ground of our neighbors. They all know us and are all warm and friendly people who help you wherever they can.

Horse riding.
If you want to ride a horse we arrange that for you, with or without a guide, a very nice way to cross this beautiful area.

Hiking trips.
Challenging opportunities, but with guide Osvaldo, otherwise you will get lost in the jungle.

Visiting beaches.
As a day trip or multi-day experiences? Fantastic opportunities around you. Itacaré with many 'bounty like' beaches, direction Ilheus to the south or to the north Isla Morro de Sao Paulo and Boipeba (our preference) or closer to the Marau Peninsula, you will have unique experiences. Then back in the peace of Fazenda Sao Jorge and your vacation will be unforgettable.

Boat trips / organized tours.

Taboquinhas is a well-known Rafting Paradise. You can experience water sports adventures close by on the Rio de Contas. In addition, there are many possibilities at sea in the area and in the bay of Camamu. With a Barco to Barra Grande (Popular destination on the Marau Peninsula) is in itself an adventure.

The host, Jaco

Micazu member since February 2019

My wife Joyce and I bought this Fazenda in 2008. Over the past 2 years, we started with ground maintenance and renovating plantations. We built a solid home for us and our site managers. We hope to welcome nature lovers as guests and to learn from them what we can improve on accommodation and care of our guests. It is new for us, that is why we are using introduction prices for the time being.

Additional information

A hobby from our friend Osvaldo, who also likes to be a guide for horseback riding and jungle treks. You will see his house and buildings directly on the river.
A good relationship of Osvaldo, who was the first to put Taboquinhas on the map with his rafting and water sports adventures.
Yet also a picture of one of the many beautiful beaches in Itacaré, the closest beach paradise for our guests. Very worthwhile.
A very nice trip, especially if you travel to Camamu with a luxury bus and find a Barco (instead of a speed boat) as a vessel. Your fazenda hostes Luzi knows the way and is happy to be your guide.
