You will stay in a former chocolate shop, in the center of Diksmuide. Shop and studios were converted into a cozy holiday residence. All rooms are on the ground floor and open onto a beautiful city garden.
Ideal for families, but also very suitable as a base for small groups to explore the Westhoek and drive or cycle to the sea. Our partner De Brooderie can provide breakfast service, outdoor sports center 't Buitenbeentje can provide outdoor activities such as bicycle and kayak rental, but also indoor activities such as folk games and paintball.

Kathleen and I are experienced travelers. We've done a lot of walking, especially in Spanish-speaking regions like the Canary Islands, but we've also ventured outside of Europe several times.

The photo of both of us was taken in Slovenia in September 2021, shortly after my participation in the Mountain Running World Championships in Tyrol.

I know my native region like the back of my hand, and can give many tips for walks, bike rides and visits of all kinds.

You can park your car for free in one of the two very nearby parking lots for long-term parking. Generaal Jacquesstraat is located in a blue zone where you can park for a maximum of 2 hours if you use the parking disc. Loading and unloading in front of the door is usually no problem.

The holiday home was started in 2020. Reviews can be read on the booking platforms Airbnb (where I have been awarded the status of Superhost 4 times in a row), and Vrbo (Premium status). The location is ideal for staying with children and grandchildren, because of its location in the village center there are plenty of shops and dining options nearby. The location has a closed indoor area where the (grand) children can romp around.'
