Cozy and complete holiday home with a lovely garden and a large sun terrace.

The chalet:
When you enter here you immediately feel at home in the mystical atmosphere of the Ardennes. The chalet is very cosy, the living room has been restyled, as well as the furniture, everything is modern and upholstered in warm colours. The bathroom is also modern. The fireplace and wood stove enhance the atmosphere. The sloping ceiling with the mezzanine to the upstairs bedrooms provide extra atmosphere and dimension in the L-shaped living room, while the separate dining area with the large dining table forms another special place. Around the house there is a beautiful view to the garden and surroundings with many birds and regularly a squirrel. The patio doors to the terrace are a godsend, especially when the weather is nice. The kitchen is complete and there is a large kitchen inventory available. The terrace with a sturdy dining table with adjustable chairs covers 30 m2 and the spacious front garden faces southwest and offers a lot of privacy, so you can enjoy the sun. A fire pit in the garden provides extra atmosphere. There is a secluded garden around the house with lots of playing grass and benches here and there to relax or read a good book. There is a private parking space in the driveway, as well as an extra parking space next to the barn. In an 'exciting' spot in the garden is a playhouse for children up to about six years old and there is also a double swing for toddlers and children. In the house there is enough space for 6 people. In the barn you will find a barbecue and two sleds. You can walk straight from the garden into the beautiful nature with many walking and cycling routes.

We have had this lovely chalet for a long time and are still in love with it ourselves. Here, at a distance of no more than 300 km from the Netherlands, you are suddenly in a completely different world. A beautiful nature with valleys and mountains, pristine forests, wild flowing rivers and in winter much more snow than in the Netherlands. The house is also very conveniently located. You walk straight into nature, as it were, because of its location near the river Amblève, the stream Steinbach and the large Wolfsbusch.

Do not be put off by the French. Nowadays, people really do their best to answer you in Dutch and not succeed than German or English has often result. A very special cultural aspect is the focus on the Battle of the Bulge. Nearby in Baugnez is a small museum that its focus on the impact donates near Malmedy.
Nature is the main attraction of the Ardennes. And rightfully, because the area offers Dutch wilderness close to home!
Active on it goes without saying in the Ardennes. There is a dense network of marked trails. These are locally available at the Tourist Office. Routes through woods or just past beautiful villages and towns conduct. With plenty of choice for inexperienced hikers to people who spicier walks or long-distance hikes search. In the natural environment of the Ardennes is also great kayaking, mountain biking, extreme adventures, horseback riding or golf.

Therefore, the height does not exceed 3% so that you can out of the way there with a regular Dutch bike with 3 gears fine on.
