What started in the 70s as a modern concept of 17 white houses, has now been completely renovated. The cottage, located on the playground, is the ideal place for a young family! From the house you can see the children playing!
But even as a couple, O'Noire is an ideal starting point for walks in the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse Nature Park. At the end of 2022, our area became a European Natural Park, which means that the preservation of nature, silence and tranquility is central! The 250 km of looped hiking trails are also well signposted and extremely well maintained.
Peace and nature, but there is also a dash of culture to be found in the vicinity ... the village of Treignes has no less than 4 museums! The Villa Gallo Romaine, opposite the cottages, is the start of a journey through history! The train museum attracts enthusiasts from far and wide, and these are just a few tips about the ideal holiday destination!
The authentic Ardennes village of Treignes is a three-minute walk away. There is a beautiful church with a cozy village café next to it. In the castle farm next to the church you can have a drink among the donkeys or take a walk with these sweet animals!
For all your groceries, you can go to the small supermarket every day of the week. For supermarkets, you can go to Nismes (Okay) or Couvin. You can also go to the Intermarché just across the border in Vireux and Givet, all within a radius of up to 15 km.
At a distance of 3.5 kilometers, you will pass the French border, where you can find the best baguettes in the world!
