In principle, the heating will be on upon arrival. The thermostats on the radiators may still need to be turned up to bring the jamers up to temperature. The fireplace works very well and regular heating takes quite a while.Medical matters:
- There are first aid items in the first aid kit above the basement stairs. Make sure it stays complete.
- There is a medical center in Erezee at Rue General Barlon 7. The telephone number of the general practitioners in the area is: +32 (0)86 211 425 Most things in the house may be used, unless it is clear that the personal possessions concerned. Preferably exercise restraint when using consumer goods (food, soap and the like) and in any case replenish after use. Wifi is available. The Wifi password is on the modem under the television. Unfortunately, the internet is not fast. A guest account has been created on the computers, on which you can work. Please do not download anything that could damage the computers and delete personal files after use. The television can be switched on from standby with the silver-coloured Philips remote control. The TV can also be operated with the black Belgacom/Proximus remote control. The Dutch-language channels are the first to be programmed (first NPO 1, 2 and 3, Belgian channels, on Netflix 13 and Nickelodeon 14). Netflix can be used, provided you have a Netflix account yourself. The television works entirely via the internet (so it slows down the internet). Please switch off the Belgacom/Proximus box when you are absent and at night. The swimming pool is on a time clock. If the filter pump is not running while swimming, turn it on with the slider on the side of the timer in the filter box in the corner of the play area next to the pool. There is no lighting in the shower next to the pool. The pool lighting has recently broken and the walls and ceiling are being repaired, but they are not yet in good condition. You can shower in the bathroom. Make sure that the shower curtain closes properly! Unfortunately, the cap of the bath can only be removed with a sharp object, as the mechanism is broken. The terrace lighting is (seen from the inside) to the right of the storage doors to the terrace.
The gas barbecue can be used, provided that caution is exercised with the use of the gas and the barbecue is cleaned after use. If you buy new gas yourself, you naturally determine the degree of consumption. Gas can optionally be purchased from the trade to the left of the gas pump in the center of Manhay. Take the old bottle with you and exchange it for a new one. To play ping pong, it is wise to bring good ping pong bats and balls yourself.
