Welcome to Tipi d'Amis! Our cozy, triangular cottage in the middle of the forest.
A house where you can feel welcome with family or friends. Where you can relax together and enjoy the peace and nature. Or where you choose action and adventure!
You enter the dining area and the spacious kitchen that is equipped with all kinds of conveniences: we have a kettle and senseo, a toaster, microwave and a spacious fridge with separate freezer compartment.
From the living room you can walk through the double doors to the terrace that is on the side of the house. We have also placed a screen door here, so that you can keep everything nice and open in the summer months.
On the ground floor you will also find the bathroom with spacious walk-in shower and a separate toilet.
Via the sturdy staircase with railings you reach the first floor with two bedrooms. In one bedroom there is a double bed, in the other bedroom there are two fixed single beds with the possibility of 3 beds by pulling out a bed in the middle. You could also turn this into an extra double bed.
Both bedrooms have their own storage cupboard and there is a mosquito net in front of the windows.
The cottage is located on the Sunclass Durbuy holiday park; a small-scale holiday park in the woods of Durbuy. The key can be picked up at the reception, but they can also tell you where everything can be found. From sports fields for football, tennis and basketball, to ping pong tables and from various playgrounds spread over the park to heated swimming pool!
The park also has a fine brasserie with a wide menu. Whether you're in the mood for an Ardennes ham, Belgian stew, a juicy hamburger or vegetarian pasta: they have it all. They also often have changing dishes on the plate. Keep a close eye on this sign, because there is also live music on the terrace with some regularity!
Do you prefer to cook yourself? Then there are several supermarkets five kilometers away for daily shopping. Do you like BBQing? Then a cozy BBQ area has been created at the front of the park with picnic benches to eat together.
Near the cottage there is a crossing in the forest down, from where you can take a nice walk to the historic center of Durbuy. Walk along the Ourthe and behold the climbing course of Adventure Valley Durbuy: the largest indoor and outdoor adventure park in Belgium with numerous activities for young and old.
Stroll through the picturesque streets of the old town and enjoy artisanal ice cream, look at the many shop windows and drink a delicious Belgian beer on one of the terraces.
The area is known for its many walking and cycling routes, but it is also wonderful to tour the area on a motorcycle. The winding roads through the woods provide beautiful routes and views.
The Ardennes are known for their rugged terrain and of course that includes the caves. There are many caves in the vicinity of Durbuy that are definitely worth a visit. Think, for example, of the Caves of Hotton or the Caves of Han, or the Cave of Remouchamps. All special to see. There are also numerous castles, from small to large and various museums in the vicinity of the park.
Nearby is also a special village: Wéris. It is seen as one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia and what makes it so special is that it seems as if time has stood still here. Characteristic of this village are the large dolmen and menhirs. These megaliths are located around the village. It is also sometimes compared to the English Stonehenge.
Do you prefer to hit a ball? About 11 kilometres from the park is Golf de Durbuy; an 18-hole golf course that can count itself as one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe.
There are now also charging stations at the entrance of the park for charging the electric car!
In short, there is plenty to find in and around the park.
