Atmospheric lodge with stunning views in the Ardennes

This cozy A-Frame house is located on a wooded hill in the Ardennes , near lively Durbuy . One of the great assets of this lodge is the panoramic view of nature from everywhere in the house. From the floating terrace you can almost touch the treetops.

A second major asset is the stylish furnishings that allow you to enjoy beauty. The lodge was completely renovated in 2020, including furnishings. We worked thoroughly and only used high-quality and honest materials.   Since we often stay here ourselves, our personal touch is palpable (books, works of art, ...). This creates a cozy, homely atmosphere that makes our guests feel immediately at home.

Children of all ages feel welcome here : the youth and children's books; the pirate chest with (board) games; the red 'love seat' that can be completely flat; the small garden with hammock; the swimming pool and sports facilities in the park. All very inviting.

A third windfall is the location . From the lodge you walk directly into the woods and fields . Lively Durbuy with its top gastronomy is also within walking distance (2.5 km). Adventure Valley (fun for the kids) is nearby as well as the Ourthe. There is so much to do in this region : walking, cycling, mountain biking, kayaking, (mini) golf, skiing, fishing, caves, castles, picturesque Ardennes villages, towns, museums, wildlife parks, markets. All easily accessible from the lodge.

Moreover, the house (max 5 people) is particularly suitable for those who are allergic : no pets, no smoking, no heavy curtains, no carpets, leather seats, suitable mattresses and everything spotless. You can park in front of the door . You can access the lodge without having to climb stairs.

Layout of the house
First of all, there is the floating terrace : the view here is phenomenal , you can almost touch the treetops. The terrace is equipped with a table, chairs, parasol and lounge chairs. Via a staircase you reach the small garden : for sunbathing (sun lounger) or lazing in the hammock . If you're lucky, you'll get a visit from one of our squirrels or raccoons. The many birds are always nearby.

You can also enjoy the beautiful view from the seat . There is a reading corner with a small library and a pirate chest with board games . There is also a solid music system, a TV with HDMI connection for game consoles, access to about 15 TV channels, a DVD/Blue-ray player, contemporary CDs and DVDs, reading books (also for children), guides about the region, magazines and free wifi.

The dining area has a modern dining table with a view of the many birds flying in and out. There is plenty of nice crockery and cutlery .

We have equipped the kitchen well because we like to cook: a 4-burner gas stove with wok burner, extractor hood, combination oven with steam function, refrigerator, Nespresso, blender, mixer, kettle, toaster, sufficient pots and pans, quality kitchen equipment and a dishwasher . There is also a small initial stock (coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar, etc.) and fresh herbs on the terrace in the summer months.

In the stylish bathroom you will find a sink, a spacious walk-in shower, a toilet with an advanced odor extraction system, a hairdryer and nice, decorative details.

You sleep in a spacious, electrically adjustable double bed (large bedroom) or in one of the 3 single beds (small bedroom and loft). There are quality mattresses everywhere (guests often ask us about the brand), winter and summer duvets, mosquito screens, blackout curtains, works of art and nice details.

The lodge is located in a small-scale private holiday park where peace and nature are central (Holiday Park Sunclass Durbuy). This means you can enjoy a number of facilities : a heated indoor swimming pool, cozy brasserie with take-away service, central BBQ area, tennis, ping-pong, volleyball and football, basketball and badminton, petanque, playground, laundry. The park is located on a wooded hill, so you experience a lot of privacy . The staff is controlled
the Dutch, French, English and German languages.

We do everything we can to make our guests completely happy and we do that quite well. We have been building a loyal audience since 2021. Many return, some even several times a year.
