Denenhof is a converted farmhouse in the Antwerp Kempen.
The building is located on a plot of 37 ares. The holiday home is part of this building and is completely self-contained with its own garden and private parking. The holiday home is available for max. 6 people.
We, the owners Lief and Ronny, live in the other part of the building.
(By appointment, the rest of the site is also accessible, as well as the outdoor swimming pool of 4 by 8 meters. This is only (for week stays) in the summer months. The use of the swimming pool is not (automatically) included in the given price. Please inquire about the conditions.)
From our residence you can walk straight into the nature of the Hertberg Provincial Green Domain, owned by the prince 'de Merode' until 2004. The prince then sold his extensive forest area to the surrounding municipalities who kept it as a whole, across the municipal boundaries.
The Prince 'de Merode' himself still resides in his castle in Westerlo, along the Grote Nete. This castle itself is only exceptionally accessible, for example during the performances of HISTORALIA, but in the 'landscape park de Merode' it is now beautiful walking, cycling, mountain biking, horseback riding.
You can also visit 2 abbeys, namely the ABBEY OF AVERBODE and the ABBEY OF TONGERLO.
In the vicinity (30 min. by car) you can also visit smaller cities such as DIEST, GEEL, AARSCHOT. Amusement park BOBBEJAANLAND is also located at a similar distance. A little further away (40 min.) you will find the provincial cities such as HASSELT, LEUVEN and MECHELEN.
BRUSSELS and ANTWERP are also easily accessible, either by car or by train. Every year, guests who like to visit the music festivals of WERCHTER or GRASPOP also stay with us.
