Denenhof is a converted farm in the Antwerp Kempen.
The building is located on a site of 37 ares. The holiday home is part of this building and is completely self-contained with its own garden and private parking space. The holiday home is available for a maximum of 6 people.
We, the owners Lief and Ronny, live in the other part of the building.
(The rest of the site, as well as the 4 by 8 meter swimming pool, is also accessible by appointment.)
From our accommodation you can walk straight into the nature of the Provincial Green Domain Hertberg, owned by Prince 'de Merode' until 2004. The prince then sold his extensive forest area to the surrounding municipalities who preserved it as one whole, across the municipal boundaries.
In this way the 'noble' area continued to exist. The Prince 'de Merode' himself still resides in his castle in Westerlo, along the main nete. This castle itself is only exceptionally accessible, but in the 'Merode landscape park' it is now beautiful walking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding.
You can also visit 2 abbeys, namely the AVERBODE ABBEY and the TONGERLO ABBEY.
In the vicinity (30 minutes by car) you can also visit smaller cities such as DIEST, GEEL, AARSCHOT. BOBBEJAANLAND amusement park is also located a similar distance. A little further away (40 minutes) you will find the provincial cities such as HASSELT, LEUVEN and MECHELEN.
BRUSSELS and ANTWERP are also easily accessible, either by car or by train. Every year we also have guests who like to visit the WERCHTER or GRASPOP music festivals.
Something for everyone, and we haven't even mentioned the FRYERS and BELGIAN BEERS ;)
