At the foot of the Erlberg lies Thumersbach, the most beautiful and sunniest part of the famous town of Zell am See. From Thumersbach you can reach our lovely holiday home on the slope of the Erlberg in 8 minutes. You look out on the eternal snow of the Kitzsteinhorn (glacier), the towns of Kaprun, Suddorf and Zell am See and on the beautiful mountain lake 'the Zeller See'. From the house you can make wonderful walks and mountain biking, in the immediate vicinity there is a multitude of sports opportunities (including water sports, tennis, golf, parasailing, winter sports) and there is a range of interesting recreational/cultural trips possible (GrossGlockner Hoch Alpenstrasse, Hohe Tauern National Park, the caves of Eisriesenwelt Werfen, the old underground salt mines in Hallein, a lot of culture and museums in various cities and villages with Mozart City as the highlight Salzburg. The house is equipped with all modern conveniences, but has retained its original Austrian look (Chalet style) with lots of wood, a real Austrian tiled stove and flower boxes. It has a spacious terrace on which you can enjoy the view and which has sun until late in the afternoon.
Therese and Menso of Meeteren both work in the care and spend their days only too happy in their home on the mountain slope in Thumersbach which they are addicted since the 80's. Just lovely to sit on the terrace and enjoy the panoramic views and exceptional silence in the mountains. Here they unwind, spending the time to walk, to cycle or car trips pretty. And golf at 5 beautiful golf courses in the area.
