Chalet Olduvai

Our detached, luxury chalet, on the border of Leogang and Saalfelden is wonderfully quiet. The house is oriented to the south and has a fantastic view of the Steinerne Meer and the Leoganger Steinbergen.
The house is easily accessible in winter. Snow chains are not necessary.
There is ample parking space for 4 cars on the property.
Although the house is in a very rural location, you are still in the center of Saalfelden within a few minutes. Saalfelden is a beautiful old town, however it has all the advantages of a modern city. Good restaurants, shopping options, bars etc.
Both the Asitzbahn in Leogang, connected to the Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang ski area, as well as the slopes in Maria Alm and Hinterthal can be reached in 10-15 minutes.
The recognized long-running center in Hochfilzen, where biathlon championships are held every year, can be reached in 15 minutes.
Leogang is also a household name at Mountainbiker. The world championships took place here in 2012. Of course not only mountain bikers come into their own. It is also wonderful to cycle in this area.
The area around Olduvai offers not only these sports opportunities.
We have two beautifully situated golf courses in the immediate vicinity. Not only these two, but also the golf course in Zell am See, for example, are interesting courses.
From the house you can take fantastic walks in the mountains directly. The Leoganger Steinbergen is also an area where you can "klettern".
In summer, the Ritzensee and the two large swimming pools offer something for everyone. If you want to sail, fish or swim, the Zeller can be reached in 20 minutes.
Of course there are various other options, such as rafting, paragliding, etc. possible in the area.
If you are already in the area, visit Salzburg. Not only Mozart's hometown, but also my husband's. Although we have been here so often, there is always something new to discover.
The Krimml Wasserfälle, the Eisrieswelt in Werfen are world famous attractions.
But let's come back to our nice chalet.
The spacious living room has direct access to the terrace and garden. Here you can enjoy a delicious breakfast or bbc while enjoying the mountain panorama.
The open kitchen is fully equipped.
Our dining table has room for 6-8 people, but can easily be extended and 10-12 people can certainly sit there.
The small dining table that still seats 4 people is also delightful.
Nice if the table has to be set, then the children can quietly continue coloring or puzzling.
We have a cozy sitting area, where it is good to stay.
On the ground floor we also have a bathroom with shower, toilet.

There are three spacious bedrooms on the first floor.
From two bedrooms you can come directly to the balcony and enjoy the peace and mountain world.
The bathroom has a large bathtub, shower, two sinks and
toilet.
In the basement you will find the fourth bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and a fifth bedroom for two persons. Very nice and cozy.

If the evening still has enough energy, you can play a game of table football.
Unfortunately, we are not spared the laundry on holiday, but the washing machine and dryer help us get this work done quickly.
