Our luxury holiday home is located in one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Austria in the characteristic Austrian village of Kötschach-Mauthen. The landscaped garden is south facing and you have a view of the mountain peaks in Italy and Austria on the left and right.
Kötschach-Mauthen is a quiet cozy village with several restaurants that are easy to reach on foot, but also by car because of the ample parking. It is a village with many facilities: two supermarkets, bakeries, local shops, a large swimming pool with wellness, a natural pool and a tennis court, pharmacy, doctor's office, R.C. church.

Summer
The Gailtal has a Mediterranean climate. This makes the area ideal for outdoor activities: hiking (on beautiful alpine pastures and beautiful gorges), mountain biking, cycling, golf (18- and 9-hole courses in Lienz and Waidegg and Berg im Drautal), various long toboggan runs, swimming in the beautiful lakes of Carinthia and the swimming pools of Kötschach-Mauthen, rafting, motorcycling...
The village of Kötschach-Mauthen is located near the border triangle of Austria/Italy/Slovenia. This gives an unlimited possibility of fun trips. (Udine, Trieste, Venice and the Mediterranean Sea) and Slovenia (Bled, Ljubliana, Kranjska, Koper, Piran, the Alps of Slovenia and the caves of Postonja)) are also within reach.
Winter
Next to the pool is the ski slope (ideal for beginners and children). For the more experienced skiers, the areas of Nassfeld-Hermagor (free ski bus), Lienz Hochstein and Lienz Zettersfeld are easy to reach by car. Don't forget the Weissensee, 35 minutes drive, worth a visit in both summer and winter.

We regularly adjust the interior and facilities. For example, the sofa was renewed some time ago, as well as the dining room chairs last year. In the meantime, the TV in the living room has been replaced by a larger model. The smaller TV is with a DVD player in the small bedroom. An air fryer is also provided.
