Haus Seltschach is a comfortable house built with Austrian charm. You can really relax in this modern holiday home with underfloor heating throughout, a beautiful sunny balcony and a spacious (partly covered) terrace bordering a gently flowing mountain stream. Our house is only 50 meters from the Dreiländereck valley station, where you can take the chairlift to go to the Drielandenpunt on the border of Austria, Slovenia and Italy at an altitude of 1560 m. There is also the Panorama-Bergrestaurant where you have a beautiful view over the mountains and can walk in the untouched nature for as long as you want. In winter you can ski on the beautiful, reasonably snow-sure slopes.
In the immediate vicinity of our house there are extensive hiking trails (in winter cross-country skiing trails) and cycling routes. You can take the adventurous mountain bike trails or cycle across the flatlands of the Gailtal. Walking in untouched nature with fresh, clean mountain air makes you feel more vital.
Surroundings Carinthia is a versatile area with snowy, cold but sunny winters and warm Italian summers. On the other hand, the nights are cooler, so you sleep well.
There is a lot to do in this region in summer. In addition to using the many cable cars, you can visit fun parks, bird of prey shows, castles and museums. There is also a lot to do here for children. With the use of the Kärnten Card, a discount is given on the entrance fees.
The Adriatic Sea can be reached within 2 hours, where you can visit cities such as Trieste, Gorizia and Grado (surprising seaside resort) and enjoy the Italian culture. Slovenia is 20 minutes by car and offers many interesting places to visit, such as the Triglav National Park, the lakes of Bled and Bohinsj, or the towns of Llubljana and Granjska Gora.
Layout
Our house in Seltschach has 3 bedrooms, making it an ideal holiday home for a family of up to 6 to 7 people. The living room has a cozy wood stove and French doors to the terrace with a view of the mountains. The house also has an outdoor sauna. You enter the house in the hall that is adjacent to the toilet and laundry room. Through the hall you get on the ground floor, with tiled floor with underfloor heating, also access to the living room with open kitchen with ceramic hob, oven and fridge-freezer at the front. The living room with a 3-seater sofa and a large dining table suitable for 7 people is adjacent to the sunny side. A beautiful wooden staircase leads you to the landing of the first floor, which is also equipped with underfloor heating. Here are also 2 spacious bedrooms with TV. A cot is available. Both bedrooms have their own adjoining bathroom with shower. At the rear is a spacious balcony accessible through French doors where you can fully enjoy the sun.
In short, a wonderful villa with great comfort and fully equipped.
