Thanks for the response, nice that the 2 weeks in our holiday home have been pleasant.
We have been renting out for over a year now and receive excellent feedback from many guests, as our house is indeed equipped with many conveniences and has a very good price-quality ratio in this area.

You are the first guests who experience the shared entrance as problematic. The holiday home itself has an extra lockable front door in the front porch. It is considered an advantage that this portal can be used for jackets, wet shoes, etc.

We are a Dutch couple with no children and private landlords, not a company. We use our private apartment on the 1st floor part-time. On this booking site, unlike other platforms, we cannot indicate that. We do not rent out our apartment, which is completely separate from the holiday home, but use it occasionally, with full respect for our guests. When we are there, we always ensure distance, especially in these corona times and are always willing to give tips or solve things for our guests. For example, we have always helped you with requests for buying shoes or with regard to the use of our private facilities and goods. We know that something can always break during use, which is why we always ask our guests to let us know if we need to repair or replace something. Unfortunately, after you left, we had to find out for ourselves that quite a few things had broken. We would have liked to hear this personally and also your objections with the house, so that we can go there possibly. what to do about it.

Unfortunately, we cannot influence the water level in the stream and therefore its noise. The location on the mountain stream is clearly described. Since you have used the fire pit right next to the stream many evenings, we are surprised that it bothered you. Isn't the garden spacious enough to be able to talk quietly everywhere? There is even a covered terrace with heater directly at the house, where you can sit together all evening without being bothered by the stream.

Last year we renovated practically the entire holiday home. One of the old features, including the wooden floors in the bedrooms and the living room, we deliberately did not replace. This wood comes from the Leoganger mountains, is unique in its species and forms part of the overall character of the house. Real wooden floors, as you often encounter in Austria, can creak, but we have never heard other guests about this.
