When we arrived at holiday home 'De Bosrand' number 55, we were surprised to find that the garden was still under construction. We had seen the photos and video what it would be like. Everything was! According to the site already realized but what a big disappointment. It was still a bare, sandy, dusty mess with a jalon stick and other markings where sprinklers had to be placed and other unfinished business.
The owner Erik Luft immediately texted and said that we were very disappointed and especially about the fact that we were not informed at all in advance. Mr. Luft called back with an apology and was already afraid that we would not be satisfied?! He had therefore already put down an extra bottle of rosé and a bottle of white wine. Indicated several times that you can't deal with people like this and made it clear that if I had known this in advance I would not have booked this. Have looked around for other vacation spots in the area but yes, it's vacation time so I couldn't find anything and tried to make something of it.
A few days later I was shaken out of bed at 7.50 am because a gardener was milling the garden. We were not informed about this in advance. The gardener was also very surprised about it and wanted to stop the work but had understood that Mr. Luft would have informed us. Due to the fact that someone there also took exams for his work, I had to resume the work. They can't do anything about it either. The next day I got a call from the gardener (who apparently got my tel.nr from Erik Luft??). With apologies from him about the state of affairs, wanted to make an appointment to adjust the sprinklers. No problem if this is reported in advance. The next day the gardener came with a bottle of Beerenburg as an excuse for the circumstances, great!
We have not heard anything from Mr. Erik Luft since that first conversation on the day of arrival.
Unfortunately, we have not been able to use the garden and the terraces on the garden and have only experienced nuisance from it.
The cottage itself is fine for us, furniture is outdated and everything is a bit at the end of the day, but well, is still doable.
The hygiene inside leaves much to be desired, very dusty and not clean enough in our opinion.
The toilet and shower have been renovated. Too bad the rain shower has no pressure.
There has certainly been a lot of investment in the garden and renovation of the cottage and the surroundings are beautiful! Because of the careless behavior of the owners and because there are many other nice houses with large gardens for a much better price in this park, my preference would be for that next time.
