Atmospheric, colorful, intimate and well-kept holiday home in the middle of the cozy town. Behind the front door unfolds a spacious house on two levels. Downstairs the kitchen and upstairs the living room, bedrooms and bathroom. Relax in the lively city garden. From the town you can make beautiful walking and cycling trips. Everywhere in the area delicious restaurants and wine farms. Near the Abbey of San Galgano and other places of interest. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be back.

Staying at Casa Amici will give you an authentic Italian experience. A "sleepy", idyllic and sympathetic village with extremely friendly inhabitants. The house is cozy and cozy with wood stoves and a nice garden to sit in. The kitchen is a good place to cook and it is also pleasant to dine. The charming house has everything you need, but if you are looking for real luxury, this is probably not the house for you.

Apart from the charming house, the surroundings are beautiful and offer something for everyone! From culture to sporting activities. I certainly have a number of recommendations to give in this. Here they come;
The Adbij of Galgano (the Abbey from the anniversary season of Wie Is De Mol) is highly recommended. Don't forget to visit the wine bar Salendo, enjoy the beautiful view with a glass of wine and then leave with a bag full of wine and other delicacies.
The Biancale geothermal park, the beautiful villages in the area including Massa Maritima and Chiusdino. For sports enthusiasts, the area is ideal for walks and tours with a mountain bike. There are many routes indicated by signs. The beach can be reached within an hour and Punta Ala is highly recommended.

And after all that culture, nature and effort, there are more than enough "Azienda's" to do a wine tasting. Highly recommended is Valentini. Very nice people who don't go for the quantity but for the quality. If you eat Boccheggiano at La Ciottolona you will also come across this wine and this restaurant is not only recommended because of the wine but also because of the delicious food.

All in all, a stay at Casa Amici has a lot to offer for a wonderful holiday in Tuscany on all fronts.

Despite the Covid restrictions, we still had a wonderful time in and around this fine house. The spring freshness outside was easy to defy inside with a fireplace, wood stove and plenty of heaters. Lots of flowers already in bloom, lovely. Children playing on the square and in the stairwell, the Italian buzzed so cheerfully around us. Beautiful walks made from the house, very nice not to have to go out by car. And the washing machine also made life very easy. Price-quality ratio is fine!

Pleasant apartment and garden. Sights and sounds in the latter feel like sitting in the movies. The living room and kitchen are a bit dark, a pity in April but this should be nice and cool in Summer. We used the wood stove and the open fire and had a cosy time indeed. We will be back.

Living as a Local in Tuscany

In the hills of Tuscany, south of both Pisa and Florence, lies the authentic village of Boccheggiano. The best way to experience the true Tuscan life is to live among the Italians and the best way to do that is having your own house. Casa Amici provides just that! Very well located with a spacious and sunny garden it is an excellent place to reside a week with your family or friends. The immediate surroundings offer the possibility for walking or, obviously, visiting other typical Italian towns such as Massa Marittima or larger ones as Florence.
The house itself is original and not bedaubed with cheap finery to please tourists. Others might say it’s basic but we had a very good time. The house offers a cosy livingroom to sit and read while sheltering from the sun (and storm and rain but we did not have that during our stay).

Last but absolutely not least: there are two excellent places to eat out so no need for cooking for yourself. Still, the well-equipped and new kitchen does provide the possibility.

Nice, simple, but also inspiring
and spotless apartment with unexpected luxuries such as very modern kitchen and washing machine. Living room very cozy with pleasant and comfortable furniture and fantastic fireplace. It was wonderful to relax in the garden. The kitchen and family sounds from other apartments when you sat in the garden we found contribute to a perfect Italy feeling, but those looking for absolute silence may have to find another holiday home. We will definitely be back!

This apartment was the perfect getaway during COVID-19 times. It is located in a beautiful small village, in which we felt immediately welcome. It has a small garden where we enjoyed some local wine and great weather. The desciption of the house and surroundings matched very well, we enjoyed it very much!

Last week I had a wonderful time with two friends at Casa Amici. House is in good condition with new kitchen (not yet in photos'), Bocchegiano is a lovely village to relax and really get away from it all. We'll be back!
