Top location, great kitchen for a week of vacation if you like to cook, mood lighting is missing, bright lamps on the ceiling not pleasant, a few standing / table lamps would be nice, nice bathroom, toilet on the first floor very nice. We were with dog, behind the houses is a lawn between the trees, absolutely great!

The location of the accommodation is magnificent. So is the environment. Lovely terrace next to the house. What we experienced as disturbing is the noise nuisance from house 1. Through the connecting door, the sounds travel from one house to another. Luckily the neighbors left after 2 days. By the way, upstairs where the bedrooms are, you have no noise nuisance from the neighbors.

We had a very nice stay here. I always like it with children when there is a separate sleeping floor, and there is. The shower is very very nice. The furniture is comfortable, the beds are fine. The cottage was clean. In the kitchen, a few basics were missing, such as scissors. Then you look stupid for a while, but actually there is a sleeve to be adjusted everywhere.
The surroundings are beautiful. The restaurant next door is more than fine, we had a nice lunch and dinner. The natural history museum in Denekamp is highly recommended with children. The pancake house Bolle Jan is also nice with them. Eating with children is also fun at restaurant Pan.
Another nice thing about the house is that there is a lot of traffic on the road in front of it all day long: cyclists, walkers, visitors to the restaurant. However, they rarely notice that there are people in the forester's house, so you don't feel like you're being watched and have a nice view of all kinds of activity.
I would heartily recommend this cottage.

Lovely house in the middle of the forest. Reception with real Twente hospitality and a nice explanation about the house and its history. Property is spacious and the underfloor heating is lovely. The electric fireplace is very cozy. Good kitchen, lovely shower and nice beds. There are not many hiking opportunities in the area (but at a reasonable distance), because you can only visit the park and arboretum on weekends during this period (paid). But both are well worth a visit. Due to the circumstances, we could only enjoy a high tea from the restaurant, but it was very tasty. Denekamp with plenty of shops is close by and Ootmarsum is also a nice village and also beautifully lit during this period.
