After a short search, a friendly welcome from Kees and Jolanda. Talk, a drink and a welcome basket that wouldn't look out of place on a birthday, followed by a detailed explanation of the house and the surroundings. THE HOUSE. Upon entering, we were speechless.
The space and the interior, the high trusses on the ceiling, the piano and beautiful photo books and reading everywhere, the great acoustics. All equipment works, Wifi and TV reception excellent. The photos on the site only partially represent what it is like in reality. Sublime. The bed is good, the kitchen takes some getting used to but that only takes a day. The interior of the mezzanine is special and I enjoyed the separate reading corner as well as the gardens on the different levels, climbing stairs, but very worthwhile also because we often had nice weather. The surroundings are beautiful with many nice towns and villages in the immediate vicinity.
We had rented 2 weeks and booked 1 more week, then said goodbye with pain in our hearts. For anyone with a sense of style who is good on their feet, and wants to experience a special holiday, Maison-Citadelle is definitely recommended.
