I have been living on the island of Bali for 20 years now. It is beautiful and fairly uncomplicated here. Even now and again I have the impression that I have driven into an open-air museum. Especially here in the Ubud area it seems as if time has stood still. People who wash themselves in the river simply kill because they have no running water at home. Rice fields that are processed by hand. Small markets. Artists. Delicious! A place to be or to always return.
