In 2003 I left for Spain with my husband Alphons and 5 months old daughter Mees. The first year we traveled a lot and did some freelance jobs, we learned the language and wrote columns for some Dutch newspapers.
After a year of traveling around, we settled in Ronda, Andalucia. An authentic Spanish town in one of the most beautiful areas of Europe with a wonderful climate, lovely people, a rich culture, beautiful nature and great food.
Our 2nd daughter Luke was born in 2004 and in 2007 we bought an old olive grove with 300 olive trees. The ecological olive grove is completely private but still within walking distance of the village. In 2012 we had our home built there.
Although very modern we have used a lot of local materials, such as old wooden doors and limestone stones. I think the photos reflect nicely the caracter of the building.

A lovely cottage to use as a base.
You can go to big cities and to the beach and relax here.
