Our first impression of the villa was very positive! We have been renting a summer holiday home for many years and this villa is certainly the most beautiful one we have been able to visit so far.
It looks even more beautiful inside than in the pictures... The furnishing and decoration makes it a pleasant place to stay, beautiful accents have been provided.
The pool is nice and large, also deep enough so that the kids could enjoy themselves to their heart's content with dives and bombs. Tip seems to me to be a tarpaulin.
There was quite a bit of wind for most of the week, I don't know if this is always the case, but this ensured that we didn't sit outside for very long in the evening. The advantage was that it never felt too hot.
The kitchen looks very good and is nicely equipped. The only thing missing here was a toaster, which you may be able to add.
The ping-pong table in the garage has also provided exciting family duels, which is also great!
The villa is very secluded, which provides a lot of privacy. We found that pleasant and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the beautiful view of the Montejunto. We stayed there for two weeks and made a lot of trips:
•The Buddha Eden garden (very beautiful)
•Obidos, the old town
•The Salinas de Rio Maior (short stop, local salt mining)
•We went to the top of Montejunto
•We also visited the coast a few times: Nazaré, Pineche, Sentubal, Cascais and Obidos. For me, Nazaré and Cascais were the most beautiful. The coastal region of Sentubal (towards the west is also beautiful)
•From Pineche we booked a boat trip (70€ for 4) to the island of Berlenga. Here it is magnificent! One of the highlights of our trip.
•When Sintra got the green light again from a Corona point of view, we also paid a visit here. Definitely worth it.
Conclusion:
A very successful stay in Portugal and this despite all the Corona measures. These ensured that we did not visit Lisbon, but for the rest we did not feel unsafe anywhere and the safety regulations regarding mouth masks and distance were well followed everywhere!
As far as I'm concerned, we'll come back someday!
